It has been a long and difficult couple of years. I lost both my parents this last year and as many of you may know I have spent most of my sports time the last couple of years behind the video camera streaming Raton High School Sports and/or on the microphone for Raton basketball. As I can only be in one part of the gym or field at a time my lovely wife has been behind the still camera doing most all the photography the last 2 years. It has been a learning process for her, (she wasnt a sports fan) but she, as I did started our photography in high school doing photo work for the high school yearbook at Clayton High School. She hasn't been as active a shooter until the last couple of years as I have and it has been a relearning experience for her going from analog film to digital. She has come a long way and I am very proud of her as she has grown as a sports photographer(something I get a dirty look for) especially during the basketball season. (She is also the yearbook advisor at Raton High, thus her need for sports photos)

With all the things going on I have been remiss in uploading game photos to my web site MartyMayfieldphoto.com I have gotten all the fall and winter game photos for this school year uploaded and will try to keep that going. I do ask though that if you find a photo you like don't do a screen grab it but purchase it from the web site. It costs a huge chunk of change to keep the web site online and most all the sales go to keeping it running.
