Lilly Lula Photography by Erin Mintmier Lifestyle family photographer based in the Piedmont of NC. Hi there! Welcome to Lilly Lula Photography by Erin Mintmier! I choose this name for two reasons:
1.

My favorite thing about living here is we can travel to the mountains or to the sea, to capture whatever your heart desires in just a short little trek! I am a family lifestyle photographer specializing in portrait photography and everyday moments! Here is a little bit more about me and my journey:

So how did Lilly Lula Photography come to be you might ask? Well, Lilly and Lula are actually two o

f my great grandmother's. In our family we have a running joke that when you are working hard you are in the Millikan Shuffle, hence Lilly was my great grandmother on the Millikan side.
2. Lula was my great grandmother on the Davis side and I am often told that my love for all things sparkly and any accessory comes from her. So I hope that my desire to work hard for my clients and always make sure they pop out of the photograph comes through in my name and my photographs. I grew up in a small town in NC and have always been the creative type. In high school I was on the yearbook staff and began my real love of photography. Fast forward through college (Go Heels!), a job planning a cross country motorcycle ride to me taking a job half way around the world in a war zone to today back in beautiful NC! I promise it isn't as crazy or scary as it sounds, haha! I worked for 5.5 years for the USO in Southwest Asia mainly living in Afghanistan and Dubai and it was there that I really picked up the camera and fell back in love with taking photos all over again! While living abroad I also got to travel the world and reconnect with my passion of photography. I had great friends who are talented photographers and they helped me work my way up to where I am today. Since coming back to the States my large family, there are 59 of us when we are all together, (and we still have Sunday lunch every Sunday) has allowed me to use them as my guinea pigs/models. And I finally feel like I am ready to help capture special moments for everyone else. So here we are. I love capturing those perfect little grins, gorgeous couples, bubbly families and those all so imperfect perfect moments. Let me help capture them all for you too!

I am excited to share that I will have a special one-day photo shoot on Saturday, August 31st, at Grand Arbour Farm with the cutest Mini Highland Calves around. Callum, Finlay, and Brodie will bring their best furry snuggles to your photos. Brodie took the stage today, and Callum and Finlay cannot wait to say cheese.

These will be 30-minute sessions with a digital downloadable gallery of your photos (Minimum of 10 images). Each session is $175, with a $75 deposit at booking.

Well, I have had the cutest little chicks come along asking to have their photos made with adorable kiddos! Sweet Karlee has been practicing with them to find their best sides for the camera.

The flowers are ready for their closeups!!! I had a few people that needed to shift their appointments up and it opened up 5 and 5:30 slot for today and tomorrow. The sky and light gets so pretty in the late afternoon, I hate for someone to not take advantage of it.

This year I had the plesure of meeting five wonderful young adults. Each of them will graduate this week from high school. They are all from small-town North Carolina, and all have different personalities and gifts. But what they all have in common is they have reassured me that we as a society will be okay. They are our future, and they are going to make a difference. Some will head off to college on scholarships, some will go to community colleges and some already know the trade they want to pursue. But what all five have in common is they want to see what is next around the corner. They all want to make the world a better place, and I am confident they will succeed. I wish them all the best in the next chapter, and I hope that I captured this moment in time for them perfectly. It was an honor to be asked, and I am grateful for their bright eyes and smiles!
