Your LinkedIn summary has 2,600 characters to make someone care.

Most professionals waste every single one.

They write a resume in paragraph form.

They list their job duties.

They use buzzwords like “results-driven” and “team player.”

Meanwhile, the professionals getting noticed?
•They’re telling stories.
•They’re showing problems they solve.
•They’re writing like humans, not robots.

Your summary isn’t a job description.

It’s your pitch. Your story. Your chance to show why someone should want to work with you.

In my latest post, I break down:
✓ The 3-second test your summary must pass
✓ Why most summaries sound exactly the same (and how to fix yours)
✓ The formula that actually makes people want to connect
✓ Real examples that got results

Because your LinkedIn profile isn’t a filing cabinet.

It’s a conversation starter.

Your LinkedIn profile picture gets 21x more views than profiles without one.

Yet most professionals are using photos that actively push people away.

•The cropped group shot from that wedding.
•The decade-old headshot.
•The beach vacation selfie.

You get ONE SECOND to make an impression.

Before anyone reads your headline.

Before they see your experience.

Before they decide to connect.

Your photo either opens doors or closes them.

In my latest blog post, I break down:
✓ The 5 mistakes that cost you opportunities
✓ What actually makes a profile picture work
✓ Technical details most people miss
✓ Why successful professionals update every 2 years

Because your professional image isn’t vanity.

It’s strategy.

220 characters.

That’s all you get for your LinkedIn headline.

Most people waste every single one.

“Marketing Manager at ABC Company.”
• Safe
• Simple
• Forgettable

Meanwhile, someone else writes:
“Helping B2B SaaS Companies Generate Qualified Leads Through Content Marketing”

One tells what you are.
The other tells what you do and who you help.

Guess which one gets the call?

Your headline shows up everywhere on LinkedIn.
• Every search result
• Every connection request
• Every comment you make

3 seconds.

That’s how long someone spends deciding if they care about your profile.
• Your photo catches their eye
• Your headline makes them stay or leave

Most headlines are:
• Just a job title
• Buzzword explosion
• Emoji circus
• Nothing at all

Your headline could:
• Get you found in searches
• Start conversations before you connect
• Position you as the solution people need

The difference?
A simple formula.

What you do + Who you help + Results you create

“Helping [target audience] [achieve specific result] through [your expertise]”

That’s it.

I just broke down the exact formula professionals like you are using to stand out on LinkedIn.
• The headline mistakes costing you opportunities
• Real before/after transformations
• A checklist to write yours today
• Why 220 characters matter more than your entire resume

Your headline is working right now.

Is it working for you or against you?

You updated your LinkedIn profile once.
Maybe twice.
Probably when you needed a job.

Now it just sits there.
❌ Outdated photo
❌ Generic headline
❌ Bare-bones summary

Meanwhile, someone is looking at your profile right now.
🔍 A recruiter
📌 A potential client
🤝 A business partner

What are they finding?

Most profiles:
👎🏼 Static resume from 2021
📉 Headline that says “Marketing Manager”
🥂 Cropped wedding photo

Your profile could be:
🙌🏻 Working for you 24/7
🤳🏼 Starting conversations while you sleep
🎯 Opening doors you didn’t know existed

Real estate agents close deals through LinkedIn.
Sales pros build relationships before the first call.
Executives establish thought leadership.

All while their profiles work around the clock.

The difference between a profile that gets scrolled past and one that creates opportunities?

It’s not complicated.
But it does require intention.

I just wrote about why your LinkedIn profile matters more than you think and what you can do about it today.

• The hidden cost of outdated profiles
• What separates forgettable from unforgettable
• How your profile becomes your best salesperson
• The one change that matters most

Your LinkedIn profile is your professional front door.
Is it inviting people in?

Last month we had the honor of photographing charity golf tournament. It was so awesome to see all of the hard work the team put in from organizing the raffles, bringing in sponsors and coordinating all of the hole activations.

Thanks again and we look forward to what this next year brings for the community!

You’re losing clients before you even meet them.

Your potential clients decide if you’re trustworthy in 100 milliseconds.

That’s faster than a blink.

Here’s what nobody tells you:
👎🏽 Amateur photos trigger doubt
💯 Professional headshots trigger trust
⏱️ That split-second costs you 40% of clients

But here’s what shocked me most...

Last month, a sales rep came to my studio frustrated.

She was losing deals to less experienced competitors.

Her problem? A vacation photo as her headshot.

After our session: 3 new client meetings in week one.
👌🏽 Same credentials.
🤙🏽 Same pitch.
🙌🏽 Different photo.

The results I see consistently:
📈42% more inquiries (real estate)
🔥38% more clients (financial advisors)
🎯 31% faster sales cycles (healthcare)

Your headshot is either building trust or destroying it.

There’s no middle ground.

Does your headshot build trust or destroy it?

Yes, that’s me. And yes, I’d love to connect with you on LinkedIn. (Link in bio 🙏🏽)

We have quite a few things brewing that I think you’ll like.

Tips, recent events, highlights and be sure to join our soon-to-launch newsletter.

Headshot photography is like going to the dentist. Nobody likes to go, but we all know how important it is for our professional profiles.

So many of my clients tell me how hard it is to find a solid headshot photographer for their team or their individual needs.

If you check out my site, I do my best to learn as much as I can about you, your team and your headshot needs so I can come alongside and provide the photos you need for marketing, internal directories, LI profiles and other relevant professional needs.

Instead of searching through odd Yelp pages, reading Google reviews, etc reaching out to a stranger and crossing your fingers they’re not creepy, connect with me on LI and we can stay in touch there 🤙🏽.

I’ll still post here, but we have more going on in Linkedin Land! Haha!

🔔 Client Spotlight🔔

Quite a few years ago a client reached out to me and enthusiastically thanked me for his headshots. And I gave the usual, “Of course! You already said thank you when you came in for your headshots like 3 months ago, and I’m glad you love them!”

And he went on further to share that he worked so hard to join his legal firm, was quickly promoted and he strongly believed it was because of his headshots. I humbly told him, you put the work in and I just photographed you.

What I failed to realize was how much confidence and power people felt when they had solid headshots that represented them and aligned with their professional goals.

Throughout the years, more people have reached out, shake my hand and shared their gratitude for helping them elevate their professional profiles.

So when I see professionals get promoted, I have to share. I may have had a small part, but this is what I love about what I do.

Elevate, update, refresh their profiles and more often than not, they get promoted just like Leticia here.

When I photographed her, she shared her experience, why she does what she does and I tried to photograph her to make sure the professionalism, experience and authority came through.

As I scrolled on LinkedIn, I saw she was recently promoted to Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel for the largest Hispanic grocer company in the US.

Congrats Leticia and I wish you continued success!

The #1 reason clients choose YOU over your competition isn't your credentials...

It's TRUST. And trust is built in milliseconds through your visual presentation.

I just helped a financial advisor land her first million-dollar client 6 weeks after her professional brand photos were published. The client shared her professional photos convinced him she operated at his level.

Here's what most professionals get wrong: They think professional photos are about "looking good."

Wrong.

Strategic branding photography is about positioning yourself as THE trusted authority in your field.

It's the difference between:
✅ Competing on price vs. commanding premium fees
✅ Chasing clients vs. attracting ideal prospects
✅ Being seen as "another option" vs. being THE go-to expert

Studies show professional imagery increases perceived trustworthiness by 300%.

But here's the kicker, it's not just about ANY professional photos.

It's about strategic imagery that speaks directly to your ideal client's definition of expertise.

Whether you're an attorney, financial advisor, real estate agent, entrepreneur, or business coach, your visual brand either elevates you to industry leader status or keeps you competing with everyone else.

Your brand photos work 24/7 as your reputation management system.

Make sure they're positioning you where you belong: at the top.
