Been working on something that might make editing a whole lot easier 👀

This is my wedding interview setup 🎥

For this setup, I’m using the Sony FX6 with a 35mm lens, the Deity PR-4 recorder, and the RØDE NTG3 sh***un mic.

For lighting, I’m using the Aputure LS 60x and diffusing it through the diffusion layer from my Godox 5-in-1 reflector to create a softer, more natural light for the interview.

The FX6 + 35mm gives me the look I want for documentary-style wedding interviews, while the NTG3 and Deity PR-4 handle the audio and the diffused Aputure 60x keeps the lighting soft without needing a large softbox.

My portable interview lighting setup for wedding videography.

I use a Godox 5-in-1 reflector diffusion panel with a Smith-Victor reflector arm instead of a traditional softbox. It gives me soft, flattering light for wedding interviews without adding another bulky piece of lighting gear to my wedding filmmaking kit.

Simple, portable, and easy to use on location.

Today, we’re celebrating 50 years with Taylor Financial Strategies

A milestone like this deserves to be remembered, and I’m grateful they trusted me to help tell the story of how they got here.

From the early days of the business to the relationships and values that still shape it today, this film looks back at 50 years of growth, trust, and legacy.

Here’s a glimpse into 50 Years of Trust.

Congratulations to the entire Taylor Financial Strategies team on 50 years. 🎉

Getting set up for wedding speeches 🎥

For this setup, we’re running an FX3 with an 85mm focused on whoever is giving the speech, then a 24-105mm on the couple so we can catch their reactions throughout.

Pretty simple two-camera setup, but it gives us both sides of the moment — the person speaking and the reactions that make the speeches what they are.
