Quick recovery on an Eastern Shore buck.

Tonight, a hunter contacted me to report a buck that had crossed his path while walking to his stand and stopped approximately 200 yards away. Following the shot, the hunter discovered blood and gut material/stomach contents near the location where the deer was last seen. After tracking the deer and losing the blood trail, the hunter consulted a friend who recommended Bay Area Drone Services for assistance. After talking to the hunter I met him and traveled to the closest safe location to launch the drone and initiate the search. Flying over 2,000 feet across a field, I finally reached the woods and began the search. After conducting a grid search with only two passes complete, I quickly located the buck. After observing the deer, I provided the hunter with a geotag location. With a friends assistance, a four-wheeler, and a jet sled, the deer was swiftly recovered, and the hunter returned home successfully. Drones have proven to be highly effective in recovering deer without disrupting the hunting woods. The Marsh Angel delivered once again. Bay Area Drone Services LLC. 410-739-4614.

Patience paid off with another eastern shore buck Recovery .

Yesterday, I was contacted by a hunter who reported successfully hitting a nice buck with his .12ga slug gun within 40 yards. The shot appeared to have hit farther back than initially aimed, after which the hunter waited several hours. He began tracking, finding dark blood and stomach material that slowly dissipated as the deer entered a thick, brushy wooded lot. Not wanting to startle the deer, the hunter contacted Bay Area Drone Services to deploy the drone to attempt to locate the buck. Upon arrival, I met with the hunter, who directed me to the last known spot where the deer had entered the brushy area. I launched the drone and initiated a grid search of the area. Within minutes, I located the wounded buck next to a creek. We identified the wound site as being in the gut area. The deer was observed for 30 minutes and marked using the drone's geotagging feature. A plan was made for the hunters to wait overnight, hoping the deer would expire, especially with the impending cold front. This morning, I received notification from the hunter that the deer was found expired in the same spot marked the previous night, allowing for a successful recovery and a very happy hunter. Congratulations to everyone involved. The marsh angel did it again!!!!!! Drones definitely work for recovery.

Another Eastern Shore buck Successfully Recovered.

Tonight, I received a call from a valued client who informed me that his wife had successfully harvested her first deer, an impressive buck. The client reported minimal to no blood trail, prompting him to suspend the tracking effort and enlist my expertise with drone services. I initiated a systematic search, conducting a grid pattern from east to west, gradually moving north. During this process, we identified multiple deer in the area, including both bucks and does, although not the targeted animal. I then transitioned to a north-south grid search pattern, ultimately locating the buck in a dense, brushy area. Utilizing the drone to maintain surveillance above the deer, the client was able to expedite recovery of his wife's inaugural harvest. Congratulations to all parties involved. What a remarkable first deer! The Marsh Angel has done it again. Drones have once again proven their effectiveness. Bay Area Drone Services LLC. 410-739-4614

Gun Season Opening Day Stag Recovered.

I received a call while hunting this morning, in which the client reported a stag had been shot with a .270 at close range. The shot appeared to be low, causing the stag to buckle, but it managed to flee the area and into the frag. Following an initial search by the hunter, which yielded minimal blood evidence, I deployed the drone and conducted a thorough grid search, rapidly locating the stag approximately 50 yards from the blind and shot location, concealed in frag grass. To facilitate recovery, I strategically positioned the drone directly above the stag, enabling the hunter to retrieve the deer. Congratulations on a successful Gun Season Opening Day stag.
The Marsh Angel wins again!!! Drones work great in the Marsh.

If you are ever wondering how tough deer are and what they can live through. Here is a story from a hunter named Kyle from Oklahoma.

On October 22nd, I arrowed a big framed 8 pointer that had weak G3’s and basically no eye guards. I knew I hit him in the shoulder and hoped he’d come back around…well less than 2 weeks later and here he is!!! You can see the arrow narrowly missed its mark!!!! 🎯 Maybe we will get to go round 2 or perhaps Dad will get him!

Another Buck Recovered!!!!!

This morning I received a call from a hunter stating that he had shot a large buck late yesterday afternoon and after tracking the deer for several hundred yards lost the blood trail and required assistance. Once I arrived at the property, I obtained the point of last known blood and launched the drone, initiating a grid search of the area, which yielded no results. I expanded the search area by several hundred yards and continued the grid search. I located the wounded buck bedded down over 300 yards from the point of last blood. After observing the deer for over 30 minutes, the hunter decided to attempt to recover the buck later in the day. Later that afternoon, the hunter reported that he successfully recovered his deer, which remained in the area we had observed earlier. Drones, when utilized correctly by experienced operators, can be a valuable tool for hunters in deer recovery today.

Another Eastern Shore Buck Recovered!!!
Last night, I received a phone call from a hunter who had shot an outstanding buck that was standing broadside, slightly quartering, at the time of the shot. While tracking, the blood trail led through to a standing crop, where the hunter lost blood. An extensive search of the area around the last blood came up empty. After discussing with the hunter, I quickly traveled to the location and assessed the property. The hunter provided me with an overview of possible areas the buck may have traveled, starting with the standing crop field. A search of that area only revealed live deer foraging through the crop. I then began a grid search of the hardwood and flooded swamp areas. I soon discovered a large hotspot under thick brush. I activated the drone's light and we quickly discovered the wounded buck laying there with some life still in him. The buck was observed for almost an hour, where it became quite clear it was soon to expire. The hunter, knowing the deer was just over the property line, planned to first contact the property owner and then proceed to recover it in the morning. I provided the hunter with a geo-tag of the deer's exact location using Google Maps. I was notified by the hunter this morning that, once permission was obtained, they proceeded to the exact location, where they found a magnificent buck expired and completed the recovery.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
Drones definitely work!!!!!

Eastern Shore Buck Recovered. This recovery commenced with a text from the hunter inquiring about my availability to provide assistance with a potential search later that day. He had shot a buck with his bow earlier that morning but was uncertain about the effectiveness of the shot. The text was followed by a video of the buck post-shot. The hunter planned to wait several hours before attempting to locate the deer. Unfortunately, minimal blood was found during the search. I followed up with the hunter at 4 pm to inquire about his progress in finding the deer. The hunter reported no success and requested my assistance in locating the deer using a drone. I arrived approximately 45 minutes later and received a general assessment of the deer's potential location. I deployed the drone, crossing a field of standing soybeans and a swamp area. Upon reaching the water, I immediately identified a bright hotspot near a standing island. Upon zooming in, the expired deer was observed, and a look of excitement appeared on the hunter's face. The total flight time of the drone at the time of location was 10 seconds, a personal best for a recovery. Drones work. Bay Area Drone Services LLC. 410-739-4614.
