You look at them and still see the tiny hands that reached for yours, the bedtime stories, the school drop-offs, the dance recitals, the late-night talks… but somehow they’re growing into incredible adults right before your eyes.

This session wasn’t for a milestone. It wasn’t for graduation or an engagement or a holiday card.

It was simply to remember.

Because this season matters too.

The in-between seasons are often the ones we forget to document, yet they’re the ones we’ll miss the most someday. The way they lean into you without thinking. The laughter you can’t pose. The quiet moments between smiles. The way your family feels right now.

Some seasons of life deserve to be remembered forever. 🤍

This sweet family is in one of those seasons.

One is getting ready to leave for college and begin an exciting new chapter, one is starting high school, and one is blossoming into the sweetest little personality. Before their oldest heads off to play college baseball, they wanted to press pause for just a moment and capture this chapter exactly as it is.

Their little girl wasn’t too sure about sharing her precious smile with me… but with a little patience, I managed to sneak a few of those sweet grins. 🥹 Those candid moments are often my favorites.
