A little reminder that every photographer starts somewhere.

The first photo is one of the very first couples photos I ever took. The second is from a recent prom session.

Looking at them side by side, I can see so much growth, not just in my photography, but in my confidence behind the camera. Learning posing, lighting, editing, and how to capture genuine moments has been a journey, and honestly, I'm still learning every time I pick up my camera.

That's one of the things I love most about photography. There is always something new to learn, a new technique to try, or a new way to tell someone's story.

While I know I still have plenty of room to grow, seeing where I started compared to where I am now reminds me how far I've come. Progress doesn't happen overnight, but with practice, patience, and a lot of photos, it happens.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to capture your memories and supported me along the way. I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next. ❤️

It’s kind of crazy looking back at photos like this one.
Back in high school, I used to walk around taking random pictures of flowers, sunsets, cars — honestly anything that caught my eye. At the time, I didn’t really know what I was doing or where photography would take me… I just knew I loved capturing moments and details that made people stop and feel something.

Photography started as a simple hobby, but deep down it slowly became a dream. I just didn’t know where to start yet.

Now here we are in 2026, turning that dream into reality one session, one client, and one memory at a time. ❤️

It’s been amazing seeing how far J & C Photography has come, and I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported me along the way. This photo may be from years ago, but it reminds me exactly why I started.

As we move through 2026, we’ve really been taking a step back and reflecting on how far J & C Photography has come in such a short amount of time.

The last 6 months have been filled with growth, learning, long nights, excitement, happy tears, and so many unforgettable moments. What started as a passion for capturing memories has grown into something so much bigger than ever imagined. Not only helping us grow as photographers, but also as people and storytellers.

Every session, every event, every family, couple, senior, athlete, and special moment we’ve been trusted to capture has helped shape this journey. Every photograph tells a story, your story, and being trusted to freeze those moments in time is something we never take lightly. From the quiet in-between moments to life’s biggest milestones, we truly love creating memories people can hold onto forever.

2026 is already bringing so many exciting opportunities, upcoming events, new faces, returning clients, and unforgettable moments waiting to be captured. We honestly could not be more excited for everything ahead.
