Unforgettable moments Since 2018, photographer Gina and her talented team have been transforming fleeting moments into treasured memories for their clients. Whether documenting weddings, family portraits, or mil

estone events, their keen eyes and artistic vision ensure every image exudes emotion and beauty. We believe everyone deserves stunning photos to cherish forever. Gina May Brown Photography's origin story. In 1989, I was involved in a major car accident, where I suffered a traumatic brain injury and head laceration. I was 12 years old. I woke up from a coma with permanent retrograde amnesia (where a person's pre-existing memories are lost) and mild anterograde amnesia (where the ability to memorize new things is impaired); and discovered my dad had passed away years before and I did not remember anything about him. It was even difficult to find pictures of him, so I was left to rely on family members’ stories to try and get to β€œknow” him all over again. After leaving the hospital, I had difficulty remembering people’s names (even my own family members), so I started carrying a polaroid camera with me and taking pictures of everyone I met. In high school, I enrolled in Photography I, and finally upgraded to a 35mm camera. I discovered a true passion and enjoyment from photography, and enrolled in Advanced Photography, Darkroom Development, and even was on the Yearbook team as a photographer. After high school, I became a single mother and though I took pictures of my children, I had put my passion up on the β€œHobby” shelf. In 2006, I bought my first digital camera, and suddenly, that passion was sparked again. It also helped that the cost of getting the pictures was greatly reduced (no more buying rolls of film and then no cost to develop the film), so as a single mom, I could afford to start getting my feet wet again. I moved to Vancouver, WA. in 2007, which I love immensely. The beauty here is beyond all imagination, further igniting my passion for capturing it to always have with me. So, my hobby turned into something more like a β€œside gig”, as I worked full time for other people/companies. After some reflection, I decided around the first of the year, that I no longer want to work for someone else. So, I quit my full-time job and ventured out into the unknown. To be honest, I have never been happier, more stress-free, and absolutely love what I do for a living. I can look at a picture, even from years ago, and know where it was taken, who I was with, and what we were doing. I cherish every one of the pictures that I have taken, and I eagerly look forward to the ones I will take tomorrow for you. I love to capture memories for you, that you can cherish forever, so you too can look back fondly and remember what you were feeling, who you were with, and smile. It is the reason I do not charge a lot, I NEVER want anyone to miss out on precious memories.

There is a photograph I keep dreaming about.

A family on bikes β€” not posed, not stiff, not lined up in front of something pretty. Just a family doing the thing they actually do on a Tuesday evening. The trail they know by heart. The kid who insists on going first. The parent who calls out "slow down" and means "wait for me."

June 3 is World Bicycle Day, and I am opening one session for a family who moves through the world this way β€” on wheels, on trails, on foot, with the kind of ease that only comes from doing something together so many times you forget it is even special.

It is special.

Ten years from now, someone in your family will look at that image and remember exactly how the light fell, exactly how fast everyone was going, exactly what summer felt like that year.

That is what I am here to photograph.

If this is your family, I would love to hear from you.

I photograph one wedding per week.

Not because I cannot do more. Because I will not.

Every couple I work with gets every version of my attention β€” before the wedding, during it, and in every hour I spend editing their gallery afterward. The timeline we build together. The moments I watch for. The images I choose. Every single one of those decisions requires presence, and presence cannot be divided indefinitely.

When you book with me, you are not one of fifty weddings I will shoot this season. You are the wedding.

If you are getting married in 2026 or 2027 and this philosophy feels like what you have been looking for β€” I would love to talk.

Week 11 Wedding Planning Tips: The Smart Moves 🧠

Week 11 is all about working smarter, not harder. These tips save time, money, stress, and prevent problems before they happen.

This week's must-knows:
✨ Wear front-button outfits for getting ready (protect that hair and makeup!)
✨ Walk your ceremony route at the actual time of day you'll be married
✨ Schedule massage 3-4 days before, not day before (soreness is real)
✨ Finish hair/makeup 45 minutes before departure time, not right at it
✨ Grooms: assign a "pocket holder" groomsman for keys/phone/rings

Plus 21 more tips covering everything from hidden guest costs to hand detail photos, vendor highlight reels to seating chart backup cards.

Twenty-five years together. And he still cried when he saw her.

Goldie and Alvin did not get married because love was new. They got married because love had proven itself β€” through decades of choosing each other, raising daughters, building something real.

When her father walked her down the aisle at Country Crossroads Event Barn, every person in that room felt it. And when Alvin's tears came, they were not surprise tears. They were the tears of a man who knew exactly what he had.

This is what a legacy moment looks like.

Congratulations, Goldie and Alvin. Your love is the kind that outlasts everything.

There is a question I hear from almost every couple I work with.

"How do we make sure we don't miss anything?"

Here is the honest answer: you hire someone who has thought about it longer than you have.

After nearly 37 years behind a camera, here is what I know about wedding day timelines:

The moments that matter most are rarely the ones on the schedule. They happen in the in-between β€” the quiet laugh before the ceremony, the way he straightens her veil without being asked, the grandmother who holds your hand before you walk down the aisle.

A well-built timeline does not just protect the big moments. It creates the space for the small ones.

I was twelve years old when a car accident erased every memory I had ever made.
My father's face. My sister's laugh. The feeling of belonging to people who loved me.

Gone.

I carried a Polaroid camera everywhere after that β€” not because I wanted to be a photographer, but because I needed proof. Proof that the people around me were real. Proof that I belonged to them.

That is where this work began.

Not in a classroom. Not chasing trends. In survival. In the desperate, human need to hold onto what time and trauma had taken.

When I raise my camera now, I am not thinking about hashtags or highlight reels. I am thinking about the twelve-year-old who would have given anything for one more photograph of her father.

I am thinking about you β€” and the people you cannot afford to forget.

That is why I do this.

Tynequia and Matthew, your gallery is live.

Your backyard wedding in Murfreesboro was everything a celebration of love should be β€” joyful, intimate, and so deeply yours. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the warmth of home wrapped around every detail.

Tink, I did my best to capture all those funny faces you requested β€” the ones you and Matthew make at each other that no one else gets to see. Those moments of laughter, the quiet glances, the joy that just pours out of you both β€” it was all so easy to photograph because it was so real.

The golden hour portraits in your front yard were stunning. And Imani as your adult flower girl? She danced in the petals, made sure to spread them at the feet of your moms, and brought so much joy to every moment. Watching her was pure delight.

Your ceremony was witnessed by friends and family who clearly adore you both, and the love in the air was impossible to miss. Aunt Jen's mac and cheese lived up to every bit of hype, and the whole day just felt like home in the best possible way.

Even after all these years behind the camera, you girls taught me what a "jailhouse" photo was. This family was an absolute joy to be around, and I love it when a photoshoot doesn't feel like work. That's when you know you've found your people.

This backyard wedding made your home that much more special β€” a place where you said "I do," where you laughed with the people you love, and where you became husband and wife.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Maguire. It was an honor to be there.

Meet Bodie.

He wandered onto the farmstead a few days ago β€” no collar, no owner in sight, just a puppy who had apparently decided this was home.

We found his owners the next day. A few hours after that, they called back and said he could stay.

He has not left my lap since.

Bodie is short for Bodenham β€” the community we moved to when we came home to Tennessee. He showed up like he knew that. Like he belonged here the same way we do.

We have no idea what breed he is. The vet has guesses. I have guesses. But I want yours.

Drop your best guess in the comments. πŸ‘‡
