Enjoyed the creative process of working and putting together a storyline for this luxury home. Two days and 12 hours later of playing with shadows and light this video is what came of it.

Once a year I like to do a little about me and this seems like a good time to do it!

My name is Zachary- Zack for short. Also go by, Zach, Zac, zak, Zackery or Z. Whatever floats your boat.

I’m a husband, father of a wild 2 year old, dog dad to the most insane hair ball creator by our golden retriever.

Going on 10 years of picking up a camera in the pursuit of it being a career. Somehow it is and I can only thank you guys for thatšŸ¤

Extreme DIYer and multi degree owner from YouTube university.

Constantly caught up in what needs to get done and very rarely caught up in looking at what’s all been accomplished.

2025 was the biggest growth period personally and business wise. The two often mixed together. Below are the reason these ones stuck out to me-

1: I was voted San Diego’s best wedding videographer. Freaking rad! I hit my wedding goals and financial goals before Q4 took place. But I had never been more stressed in my life, still dealing with it. I thought success would be a weight off my shoulders, it somehow just felt heavier. I plan on trying to soak in some of the wins instead of checking it off the list.
2: trends: there’s has never been a time to be more authentically yourself. Inspiration from trends can be tastefully cool. When that’s all you’re doing though, there’s no originality in it. I plan on trying a handful of cool ones here or there, but It’s not a make or break thing in my work if I don’t do it.
3: Connection made the difference between a good and bad day. With vendors it made everyone’s work shine. The days it couldn’t be made, it just showed. I do believe connection in every industry is needed. Looking at it as just a job doesn’t work when the challenges arise. And there are always challenges. I plan to be more intentional about this even more than I am.
4: Busy isn’t always good. Simple saying and to me it meant a lot of sacrifice. Time away from family, non existent free time to explore my other interests, constant emails or backend work to do and the surprise personal life emergencies that pop up at inconvenient times. My plan is to take on less so I can be present more.
5: Being grateful isn’t my first reaction. Then I read a quote ā€œbe grateful for the work you have now, that you used to pray forā€. Looking back 5 years ago and realize how much this business and I have truly grown and it’s all do to my clients and the lessons I’ve learned from working with you. I’ve always said I couldn’t do this without y’all and that rings more true everyday. My plan is to write something down from my 2026 projects and let the client know what I was grateful about working with them.

6: slow down is how you stay in the race longer. Just like training for a marathon. I plan on taking on less clients to help mentally and creatively stay in the game.
