Exciting news 💍

I got to capture my own daughter’s surprise engagement this past weekend… and somehow hold both roles—her mom and the one behind the lens.

There are moments you try to slow down because you know they matter. This was one of them.

We are so happy to welcome our son-in-law into the family. What a beautiful beginning 🤍

So today, my self-care looked like this: nourishment as ritual.

Quinoa → complex carbs + fiber for steady blood sugar + grounded energy
Bright peppers → vitamin C + antioxidants for immune + skin support
Farm-fresh eggs → complete protein + choline for brain + hormone health
Thin-sliced roast beef → iron + B12 for oxygen, strength, and vitality

And in my cup:
Irish matcha + chamomile + lavender + probiotic tea
• Matcha = calm focus (L-theanine)
• Chamomile + lavender = nervous system support
• Probiotics = gut = mood + immunity

✨ This is what functional self-care looks like.

We have been very busy this past month. I will be sending out links to access your recent sessions shortly. Thank you all so much for your patience — it truly means the world to me.

Between weddings, the PTO fundraiser, family sessions, senior sessions, and so much more, my heart is overflowing. I am beyond grateful for the incredible wave of new clients I’ve had the joy of meeting this season.

A huge thank you to for hosting such a beautiful, tranquil space and partnering with me to give back to our community this year. What a gift it has been.

Sometimes the most meaningful gifts aren’t bought — they’re found.

Digging through things you didn’t even know you were storing, seeing them with new eyes, and turning them into something from the heart. When your grandbaby gets obsessed with backpacks, it sends you down a rabbit hole… and suddenly you’re spending a wild Saturday night hand-sewing one, tailored perfectly to his toddler style.

I’ve never done thisSalt+Soil Photographysad I tried instead of ordering.

The moral?

This backpack would’ve been donated or tossed if I hadn’t tapped into my creative feels.

You never know unless you try. Grab what’s already around you, put it together with intention, and ask yourself: Will I even miss this if I didn’t know it was here? If the answer is no — then eh. Creation always wins.
