Happy !

This is Luna, one of my very first feline clients. No bad luck here, just a fabulous mini-panther who loves to hunt her toys, lounge on the couch, and roll around outside (fun fact: the last photo was taken on film!).

Did you know it’s National Relaxation Day?

One of my favorite relaxing activities is Goat Yoga with Ashley Flowers Yoga at Smiling Hill Farm. There’s something healing about being around little baby goats who don’t have a care in the world. Thank you to Ashley and the class participants for letting me capture the kids’ antics a few weeks ago!

Yes, with a digital camera, you can get crisp, detailed photos that you can then edit out the w***o (technical term).

But, with film, you get an image that truly feels like a memory. An instantaneous chemical reaction records the scene, and maybe it's a little fuzzy when you look back, but it is always packed with emotion. And much like a memory, editing it exactly the way you want is not always possible 😅

I recently learned that the eldest alpaca of the Oakledge Alpaca herd passed away on Friday. His name was Macaroni, Mac for short, and he was so sweet. I feel honored to have met him and taken his photos before his recent decline. He lived a long and happy life, and he will be missed 💔

It was an honor to take the corporate headshots for the two new feline employees at Food for All. Thank you for this opportunity, FFA! It was a pleasure to meet Merry, Pippin, Firdaws, Khadija, and Seith ☺️

(More importantly, while these two rascals were chasing toys and jumping off furniture upstairs, the FFA crew was hard at work downstairs packing and delivering food for Maine’s immigrant and low-income communities. Learn more about FFA at foodforallservices.org!)

Rain is in the forecast here in Maine. That may postpone some outdoor photo sessions, but let's not forget about all the adorable critters that stay cozy indoors! Every animal deserves a close-up, whether they can romp on a beach or not.

Mr. Piggles here is now a professional model and his feline siblings are just riding his coattails (coat-shells?). They better move out of the way before he mows them down on his skateboard!

Excited for Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals's open house today, including yoga with Ashley Flowers Yoga! I love getting to do one of my favorite activities at one of my favorite places. Visiting the horses at MSSPA always lowers my blood pressure.

I will have my film camera in tow, of course 🎞 These photos were taken on CatLABS X FILM 320 Pro (not at MSSPA, but hoping to get some good ones there today!).
