Day4 - -

Attempted to cover the whole page instead of a tiny drawing in the center. I keep choose to draw round objects which may be my demise. But here is my prickly pear cactus for day 4.

Day3 - -

I knew I wouldn’t have much time to put into this drawing but I quickly did a sketch of these tiny mushrooms that I see all over the Olympic forest. Funny part is it wasn’t until I went to upload that I realized I wasn’t wearing my glasses. I just thought I was drawing so tiny my face had to be smushed against the paper.

Day2 - -

This one is okay. I am realizing maybe because I am left handed things lean and the lighting always come from the left. I write and draw with my paper tilted and it is hard to break free of that as a lefty. Things to consider moving forward.

- Day1 -

Going to attempt Inktober 2026 because I’ve enjoyed doing it in the past. I’m always attempting ways to get me out of my creative barrier. It’s been an on going battle.

Goodness. Even though I didn’t get to be present and walk at the graduation ceremony I’m glad I ordered the regalia. 🎓 It’s a visual symbol of how hard I worked these last few years. I don’t know where this Masters in Arts Administration will lead me but I’m proud I ended with a 3.9 gpa —we won’t focus on the B in that one class… grrr— and a portfolio of projects and experience. Because my parents attended the same University (then it was a college) I was able to order the legacy stole. I didn’t expect to feel such an impact that I’m now part of their educational legacy. Here’s to the future and whatever it may bring, hopefully a job, but at the very least I’m grateful and proud of this accomplishment. 🤩

It’s so good to see my artwork and photography up in a gallery again. I love the Sidney Museum and Arts Association . It’s history, art, and community all together. If you’re in the Kitsap County area this is a place you must stop at!
