Found some very fuzzy, very cute baby raccoons while exploring this morning. It was an adventure looking for owls but I’ll take these little cuties!!! There mom was on the other side of the road and the adult with the babies was dad, I think.

I have seen these little cuties around our apartment complex but I’ve never been able to get a shot of them before. I keep calling them “swamp chickens” but they are actually Common Gallinule.

When you take your camera outside to take a picture of a heron and instead you follow him and look up at the nearby cellphone tour to hundreds of North American Turkey Vultures getting ready to hunker down for the night. As I was watching them I started to wonder… who gets to be on the top of the tower and who is on the middle and lower sections. Do vultures have a hierarchy? Is this one big family or a bunch of different families of vultures? And why do they do this every night and before every storm?

E.T. was a bit feisty during my little self guided walkthrough of Jungle Doria's Wildlife Park or maybe he was just protecting baby Gambino! He definitely wanted to nibble my fingers!

Driving home from Arcadia, Florida and you happen to see some beautiful cows! So obviously you have to stop. 🐄
