Two pups in tulle at their sides and the morning light at Park Chateau. 💚

Jennifer and Patrick chose a morning wedding, and Park Chateau glowed in that early light. They said their vows outside under arched florals, and inside, the grand staircase was dressed in flowers.

Their two dogs were part of the day too, dressed in tiny tulle skirts and trotting right alongside them for portraits.

They each walked down the aisle with their parents, which felt like the whole family giving its blessing. Their officiant also served as MC, switching languages through the ceremony and the reception and keeping everything personal.

Sage green, 125 of their nearest and dearest, and a dance floor that kept that energy going! The best day!

Pastel yellow, the water, and 220 of their people in one room. ☀️

Courtney and Zachary love to travel, and they got engaged on the water in Malta, so a waterfront wedding felt like the natural next chapter. They chose Crystal Point Yacht Club, with soft yellow running through every detail and the water glittering behind nearly every portrait.

The day started with a first look, a few quiet minutes for just the two of them before everything got busy. Their two dogs were there too, which made the whole day feel even more like theirs.

During cocktail hour, they slipped down to the dock for portraits right on the water. Later, Courtney changed into a second dress, and Dont Miss a Beat Events kept the dance floor packed for the rest of the night. An unforgettable night!

Simple, classic, and a little bit equestrian estate.

Danielle and Eric’s day at the Ryland Inn looked just the way they pictured it. They said their vows outside under a floral arch, blooms hung from the reception chandelier, and the bridesmaids wore ice blue against all that green.

Danielle’s sisters stood beside her as maids of honor, and that easy family warmth carried through the whole day.

We loved her opera gloves, the perfect classic touch, and her change into a second look for the party.

At the end of cocktail hour, once the sun had dropped a little, they stepped away for a second portrait session in the softer light. Worth every minute.

They met on the mat at the University of Kentucky. Yes, there was a pyramid at the wedding. 💙 Carly and Dylan were college cheerleaders, so the Wildcat pyramid had to make an appearance, and the room roared.

They were planning from Alabama, so Carly’s parents toured venues over FaceTime. The Mill won them over right away, and on the wedding day it was easy to see why.

Ice blue and dusty blue set the scene, but it was the people who made the day - family cheering them on and college friends bringing a little Kentucky to the Jersey Shore. 💙

Mia and Keith wanted a wedding that felt like it belonged to another era. The day started at home, with each of them getting ready at their parents’ houses. They said their vows in church, then celebrated at Park Savoy, all stone and candlelight.

Mia wore a long-sleeved gown and Keith wore a white dinner jacket. Her bridesmaids were in dusty blue, and the florals came in butter yellow and ivory.

Family showed up in the smallest details. Keith wore his grandfather’s wedding band and Mia wore her mother’s necklace. When it was time for the bouquet toss, she walked hers over to her mom instead, and the whole room went quiet.

Vintage soul, royal-wedding dreams, and a lot of heart underneath it all. 🤍

Shore summers, then a lakefront wedding. Sam and Joe both grew up coming down the shore with their families, so when it came time to choose a venue, they wanted to stay close to the place they love. They wanted a wedding that felt like a weekend away without traveling far, and The Mill was the perfect fit.

The day started quietly with a first look overlooking the water. Then they slipped away to The Mill’s secret garden to exchange private vows, just the two of them, before anyone else saw them.

From there, it was all about their people. Sam’s three sisters and Joe’s two sisters stood with them in the bridal party, alongside the friends who’ve been there through it all. Their six-year-old nephew carried the rings down the aisle. They said “I do” outside by the lake, under a flowered archway in frosted lilac, baby pink and white.

Before the doors opened, they slipped into the reception room for one more quiet moment together, taking it all in. Then 182 of their favorite people filled the room, and the party began.

Personal, romantic and so them, from a quiet first look by the water to a packed dance floor. 💕

Hydrangea blue everywhere you looked, from the floral chuppah to every centerpiece in the ballroom. 💙

Isabel and Michael’s day at Park Chateau started early. They chose to see each other before the ceremony, and that first look set the tone for everything after it. It was a quiet, unhurried moment for just the two of them before the day got full. It also gave us time to get every portrait done before the ceremony: the gardens, the bridal party, the family photos, and a few moody frames in the library. Once guests arrived, they got to be fully present with their people.

And they had a lot of people. Their day was one big family celebration. Isabel walked down the aisle between her mom and dad. Michael’s sister stood with the bridesmaids and Isabel’s brother stood with the groomsmen. They said their vows under a chuppah that Dahlia Florals filled with white blooms and soft blue hydrangeas.

Then the party moved inside. With 250 of their favorite people in the room, the hora was exactly as loud and joyful as it should be. The grand staircase was draped in soft ivory fabric and lined with candlelight, and it stopped us in our tracks.

Under a floral chuppah at Riverhouse at Odette’s, Samantha and Jonathan wove generations into their day. Her great-grandfather’s tallit and his uncle Michael’s hung side by side, a quiet thread of family running through the whole ceremony.

Samantha went to school for design, and it showed. She knew exactly what she wanted and cared about every small detail. The palette was ch*****ne, cream, and soft neutrals, with white florals spilling over the chuppah and paper goods that looked like keepsakes. Nothing felt like an afterthought.

They chose a first look so all of their portraits were done before the ceremony. When the vows were over, they skipped the photo rush and walked straight into cocktail hour to be with the people who came to celebrate them.

Riverhouse came recommended by Samantha’s aunt. It was the first venue they toured, and they fell in love on the spot. It was my first time shooting there too, and what a spot to discover. The ceremony terrace sits right above the water in New Hope, and the old willow tree beside it was magnificent. Its branches framed nearly every portrait we took that day.

I’m Alex — photographer, founder, and the woman behind Idalia Photography and Idalia Bo***ir.

Ten years ago, I walked away from a 14-year teaching career to build something I couldn’t fully see yet. No business plan. No guarantee. I just knew I had to try. I remember the fear. I also remember the feeling that this was exactly what I was supposed to do.

What I couldn’t have predicted was how much the people on the other side of my camera would shape who I became. The couples who booked me when my portfolio was thin and my confidence was thinner. The brides who handed me the most important day of their lives and said “I trust you”. The families who kept coming back. The women who cried in my studio because they finally saw themselves the way I saw them.
You built this with me. I want you to know that.

A photograph isn’t just an image — it’s proof. Proof that you were here. That you were loved. That this moment happened and it mattered. And when that image lives in a printed album, on a wall, in the hands of someone who comes after you - it becomes a legacy. That belief has carried into everything I’ve built.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the team I’ve grown alongside. Talented, driven people who are becoming. To lead well, share what I’ve learned, & create space for them to build something of their own — that matters to me as much as anything else.

Over the last few years I’ve also been building our bo***ir studio - a space where women come to be seen. Not just to create a gift or mark a milestone. But to exist in their own beauty and be witnessed. Built with an all-female team, because we believe a woman who walks through that door should feel safe, held, and completely at ease.

These photos were taken by my team photographer Chelsea — and stepping in front of the camera reminded me exactly how vulnerable that feels. How much trust it takes. It’s something I carry with me every single time.

10 years ago I took the leap. 14 years in, I am more grateful than I have words for. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or you’re just discovering us now — welcome. We’re so glad you’re here.
