Sometimes being a children’s photographer means putting down the camera and having a tea party🫖👑💕

Tonight, after wrapping up the sweetest princess milestone session, I got invited to sit down for a little tea party. And of course I said YES!!🥹

One thing I take so much pride in is being able to connect with the little ones who come in front of my camera🤍

I know that getting pictures taken can be intimidating for little ones, and I never want them to feel like they’re just being told to sit still, look at the camera, and smile.

I want them to feel comfortable, have FUN, and leave feeling like they’ve made a new friend!🥹

Because sometimes the secret to getting those genuine smiles isn’t what’s happening behind the camera… it’s the relationship you build when you put it down🤍

And if that means having a pretend tea party with a princess? Well, that’s just part of the job😉🫖✨

There is just nothing like those first few weeks🤍

The tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, little flakes of newborn skin, the way they curl right back up like they're still tucked inside your belly… all of it changes SO quickly.
That's exactly why I love newborn photography so much. These aren't just cute pictures of your baby — they're a way to remember how impossibly little they once were. 🤍

I mean… could there BE a sweeter theme for a first birthday?! The tiny bear details, the cake, the mess, and one very cute ONE year old — this one was too good🎂🐻

One of my favorite things about cake smash sessions is getting to take an idea and turn it into a set made just for your baby. Whether you have the whole theme planned out already or just have a color palette and need me to take it from there, I LOVE bringing these little birthday visions to life. 🤎
