blue cutie beauty 💙

I love getting the opportunity to photograph these gorgeous Stellar’s Jays as they are always stunning and challenge my skills since they don’t sit still very long. This beauty was glowing in the morning sunshine and made me smile. ☀️🥰

Winter is coming! ⛄️

This chonky White-throated Sparrow is another TX visitor as winter approaches. And this guy looks like he’s been preparing (eating) well! I love the song these cuties sing…look it up! It’s like a cute call of someone saying 🎶come over here🎶…mixed with a little scary clown vibe. 🤡😂

Junco junction. 🤎🤍🧡

I love seeing the variation in coloring across Dark-eyed Juncos in different regions. These northern (WA) Juncos are very different in color than their slate-colored cousins that visit in TX. They are all beautiful and unique. They also make fun sounds that sounds like old school videos games. My balcony sounds like space invaders when they are all hanging out. 😂😍

Look at those eyes! 😲♥️🖤

This Spotted Towhee was shy at first and I had to hide inside so he would visit my balcony feeders. He came by yesterday and I snuck a few photos by leaving the door slightly open so I could see him. Such a striking appearance and member of the sparrow family.

My fearless friend. 🤩

This cutie was only a few feet away from me and made the cutest squeaky sounds.

I loved the little chickadee hanging out with him too. Gives you a better idea of his size.

Hovering angel. 😇

The tiny Anna’s Hummingbird (male) is my newest visitor since I added a feeder this week. I was lucky enough to get a dash of sunshine yesterday morning to light up that gorgeous magenta head which appears dark when not illuminated.

This vivid beauty was hanging out in the forest and scoping out the feeders on my balcony from a distance. He was looking quite handsome in the glow of the sunshine.

Flicker friends. ❤️🤎🖤

Happy to see not just 1 but 3 Red-shafted Northern Flickers visiting my balcony this week! 🙌🏻 They are gorgeous and impressively large compared to my other visitors. They are also very shy so taking pictures is quite challenging!

This breathtaking Stellar’s Jay was excited to see me when I arrived at my WA place yesterday…mostly excited to see a refill of peanuts on my balcony. 😛🥜🥜🥜

I said goodbye to my backyard birdies this morning to catch my flight to Seattle. Let’s see what this week has in store for me up in WA.🌲🌲🌲
