Congratulations to the John Carroll Blue Streaks for winning the 2022 CHMA Championship! John Carroll defeated Pitt 3-1 to secure a bid to the ACHA National Tournament. Pitt can still receive an at-large bid to the national tournament.

The Pitt Panthers and the John Carroll Blue Streaks will face off TODAY in the CHMA Championship at 1:30 at Gilmour Academy Ice Arena in Gates Mills, Ohio.

No. 1 Pitt defeated No. 6 West Virginia on Saturday 9-1 behind eight unique scorers. No. 4 John Carroll took down No. 2 IUP by a score of 4-3, with freshman Sean Deakin scoring the go-ahead goal with just 28 seconds left in regulation!

The Duquesne Dukes defeated the George Mason Patriots 67-55 Wednesday at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The Dukes were led by first-year guard and local product Tess Myers, who has 15 points and shot 5-for-12 from beyond the three-point line.

Fellow first-year guard Megan McConnell (a alum) added 8 points, 7 assists, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals in the win.

Another shot from our camping trip to ! During our hike, we worked our way to Cucumber Falls, and while I was a little disheartened that I wasn’t able to get a clear shot without a mass amount of people in front, I’m pleased with the composition of this one!

Using the foreground to compose a subject just a little differently really pays off at times!

Last weekend was the annual Pittsburgh ASCE Younger Member Forum camping trip, and it was a lot of fun! This shot was from the first morning after a brief walk, but it was taken right outside my tent! A colleague had hung his hammock when he first arrived and I noticed the sun blasting through the trees above it!

Managed to grab a great spot by the Mr. Rogers statue for the Independence Day fireworks! First show in two years and it was so worth the wait!
