There’s just something special about photographing the next generation on the same land that raised so many before them. 🤍

I had the sweetest time taking my youngest nephew’s first birthday pictures on the family farm, the same farm my family has worked since 1928 and my mom still operates today. Watching him run around the barns, and farm yard that hold so many memories made this session extra meaningful.

These are the kinds of photos I love most. The real ones. The ones that tell your family’s story and preserve the places that mean the most to you.

It’s hard to believe Weston is already a senior. I’ve known him for so many years, and it’s been really special seeing him all grown up!

Spending time with him and his family this week capturing his senior photos meant so much to me. They are truly some of the kindest, loving people, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed all those years ago!

It’s been a little quiet around here lately, and I wanted to say thank you for your patience while we’ve been getting settled back in the Ozarks after our move from Colorado. Coming home has been such a gift, even if not everything has fallen into place as smoothly as we imagined. We’re learning to take it one day at a time, trusting in the good Lord above and finding our rhythm again.

There’s something really special about being back—familiar roads, open skies, and the kind of community that just feels like home. In the middle of it all, I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes, and I’m so excited to finally share that my website has been refreshed to reflect this new season—rooted, simple, and full of the kind of stories that matter most.

And truly, if you’ve been thinking about getting photos updated or know someone who has, I’m back at it and would love to be a part of it. It would mean so much to connect with you!

After a lot of reflection and many conversations around our family table, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to move back home to Missouri. It’s where our roots are, where family is close, and where it feels right for us in this season. While we are so excited for this next chapter, closing this one has me feeling all the emotions.

Colorado has been so much more than a place to live. These mountains have held some of my life’s most adventurous moments. I’ve had the honor of documenting love stories that stopped me in my tracks, families that welcomed me like their own, and countless adventures that left me in awe.

From golden aspen groves to snow-dusted peaks, wildflower meadows to hidden alpine lakes, every moment here has shaped me in ways I’ll carry forever.

But it’s not just the landscapes I’ll miss—it’s the people. Each couple, each family, each friendship I’ve built through photography has left such a deep imprint on my heart. Your joy, your love, your trust have been the heartbeat of my work here, and I’ll never take that for granted.

So while it’s hard to say goodbye to this chapter, I know I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude and memories I’ll never forget. Colorado will always be a part of me, and I’ll forever be thankful for what this place has given me.

Here’s to new beginnings, while holding onto the beauty of what has been. 💛

Some days in the mountains just feel like magic ✨ Patricia and Jose’s love was so easy to capture as we explored one of my favorite hidden basins in the San Juans.

The way the clouds danced across the peaks gave us the most breathtaking backdrop, and these two simply laughed, embraced, and soaked it all in. It wasn’t just about the photos; it was about slowing down, being present, and celebrating their love in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

After their beautiful ceremony with family, these two hiked through snow to a hidden alpine lake in the San Juan Mountains. The crisp air, the sparkling peaks, and the laughter along the trail made for the kind of adventure you’ll never forget.

This is what I love most about elopements in Ouray—your day can be completely your own. You can celebrate with family, then head off together into the mountains for an epic adventure that feels true to you.

What a day with Destiny and Trent in the heart of the San Juan Mountains ✨ These two were the definition of adventure, embracing every twist the mountains threw at us. We off-roaded our way into a stunning alpine basin, just in time for the skies to put on a dramatic show of rain and rolling clouds.

And instead of letting the weather slow us down, Destiny and Trent leaned right into it—laughing, snuggling, and soaking up every wild and beautiful moment. Their sweet pup Jameson was right by their side, adding even more joy to the adventure.

This day was the perfect reminder that sometimes the unexpected makes for the most unforgettable photos. Moody skies, a little mountain magic, and a whole lot of love—what more could you ask for? ✨
