I still have soooo many lessons

Most people aren’t ignoring you—they’re just trying to survive their own storm. We tend to take silence, distance, or slow replies as signs of rejection or indifference, when in reality, many are simply overwhelmed by their own battles. Life is loud inside people’s minds, and sometimes they don’t have the capacity to reach out, even when they care. It’s not about you; it’s about what they’re carrying. Compassion starts when we recognize that others are fighting invisible wars we may never see.

Take things less personally; peace begins where assumptions end. The moment we stop writing stories in our heads about why someone didn’t smile, call, or show up, we create space for understanding and grace. Everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. When you learn to not internalize others’ behavior, you protect your peace, your heart, and your hope. Let go of the need to always interpret—sometimes, not everything is about you. And that's okay.

Clearly,
you don’t know my heart
or you'd never whisper,
“It’s not enough.”

Clearly,
you’ve never traced the bruises
left on my childhood soul,
or you'd never weigh me
with such careless scales.

It’s plain,
no one truly sees me.
Still, all I find
in the eyes I love
is the shimmer of shame,
the hush of disappointment.

When will I be enough?
When will my trembling worth
be counted as holy?

When will love stop asking me
to bleed just to be believed?

When…
will I finally be held
without needing to prove
that I deserve it?

When?
