Artist statement:
In my photography I explore the avenues of fantasy and dreaming. I enjoy addressing issues pertaining to my relationship with nature, and how I have become disconnected with that relationship, and yearn to return to it. I use elements of nature to convey that message, often employing tree, leaves, and aged wood or decaying cactus. As a certified sustainable
building advisor, I try to incorporate upcycling into my artwork both as a part of the work and a venue to present it, i.e. using reclaimed window frames to display my work. I am a woman with a strong feminine nature I try to represent my inner world as such. As much as possible I use female models and work towards a “Mother” vision. I have over 20 plus years of experience and have used that time to develop a unique voice crafted after my own vision. In the past I have taught Photoshop, done portrait work, and taken photographs of celebrities, and events. As a photographer, costume designer, and makeup artist my greatest joy comes from focusing on and perfecting my work
