As I recently shared, I've been inspired to bring out my "real" camera again to capture "real" things. Today, it was the light shining through these flowers so beautifully.💖

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart;
yet no one can fathom what God has done
from beginning to end.”

I photographed a wedding September 26, 2025 and then put my camera away in its bag. I never thought it would be over a year before I would take it out again. It wasn't intentional, but taking "my real camera" back out today and having it ready is an intentional step one. I was already feeling the pull to create again, especially in such an AI saturated world that I really have an aversion to. I want to encourage all the creators out there to pull out your tools and have them ready. Creatives, we are created by our Creator to share God's goodness, beauty and truth with the world in a way AI could never! 🤍

One of the highlights of 2026 has been the blessing and privilege of pouring into the students at Valley Christian schools in a myriad of ways, as a substitute teacher and occasionally helping with after care. Having a front row seat to see the infinite ways God is working and on the move in young people, this next generation, has been such a gift!

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬
🤍

Me when the storm was coming and the clouds and light outside were beautiful this week, waiting for the students to arrive. 🌦️

If you saw my post (I've since deleted) from early this morning I shared a daily devotional from a verse in Mark 10:27,
“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.””
‭‭
The devotional felt good to read and share, but as I came home from church and am resting I was listening to the whole chapter (a great tool to listen to Scripture audibly through the Bible app) and realized the devotional didn't at all convey the context of the actual verse. So I'm resharing the verse, but in context, because even though I loved sharing the feel good devotional the truth is that God's Word in context is the most powerful thing we can bring to bear on our lives.

The Rich Young Man

"And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before Him and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” And he said to Him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.” And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for My sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬-‭31‬

MUCH different meaning when you read that verse in context! It's not about Jesus moving your personal mountain at all. It's about being willing, through His help, to follow Him. No matter the cost.
Thankful that the Lord meets us when we open His Word! Thankful to share what I learn when I open the Word for myself, and can encourage you to do the same! 🤲❣️

So grateful to be born in this beautiful country. 250 years, land of the free and home of the brave. Freedom to pray, read the Bible translated in my own language, worship God openly, and share the Good News of the Gospel without fear of imprisonment or even death. Free to go tell the whole world what He's done for me. Thank you Lord for allowing my family the opportunity to be born in a country founded on your principles and your Word, and have rights and freedoms that so many don't have around the world- that many have died to achieve and keep for us. Be safe this weekend friends, let's celebrate with gratitude the abundance of goodness we have been given here 🇺🇸

not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.”

a little window light today
•••
Not gonna lie, I am missing being able to take pictures with my "real camera" (in case you missed my stories, I broke my right elbow!).
I've had to put my Project Hope on hold and wondering what it will look like once I'm able to start photographing again.
So often when I want to GO, God makes me WAIT 🥹
This is showing up in many areas of my life, even today my plans have been altered because my car has unexpectedly been in the shop a few days.
They say no one ever really wants to pray for patience! Because that's oftentimes found in things not going your way, or taking longer than you'd like, or having to wait for clear direction, waiting on others, preparing without distraction, disciplining yourself in faith when you don't see any change or slow progress, all trusting God in His timing and ways, while not getting discouraged or sidetracked etc etc!
But today I'm praying for patience anyway. And I know there will be fruit in the learning of it.
🍓🍊🫐🍐🥭🍉

Maybe you can relate? If so, this prayer is for both of us!

Lord, thank You for always pointing me back to YOU! Help me to be faithful with what is in my hands, help me steward well what You have given me. Teach me what it looks like to wait with a gentle and quiet spirit, patiently and expectantly for Your guidance and promises for my life. Help me make the best use of the time, even when plans change. Help me to not grumble or complain, but cultivate a heart of gratitude and continue on in fervent fortitude beyond what I can plainly see knowing that You are doing far more than I can ask, think, or imagine. Please continue to grow and deepen my faith as I abide in You with a thankful heart, in Jesus' name, AMEN 🙏🤍

Good morning! I've shared this with many of you, but if you haven't had a chance to see it TODAY is the last day it will be available. When Nate and Erin Sees were talking about this movie in our small group, I was so excited to have a chance to watch it after hearing some of the details of how it was made and the heart behind the film. They could offer more insight, but it was created as a labor of love by many talented Christians at the top of their creative field, volunteering their time and talents to make this film. I just love the excellence behind it, the collaboration, the new innovative creativity, and the beautiful and relatable story that glorifies the Lord. Here are just a few of the responses from friends of mine after watching,

"We watched as a family! What tears of sadness, joy and love we all had. It was amazing. Thank you for sharing."

"So sweet and full of symbolism from scripture and mankind in general! How you could fall in love with a little animated bear and tree in a few short minutes says God is touching hearts! It touched mine! ❤️"

"It was so touching. I could see the Prodigal son, the human heart born of sin and full of greed and craving the fun of sin for a season because of our fallen nature., the all forgiving Father God, beauty from ashes, Jesus giving up His life for sinner, on and on it goes! It just reminds you of so much!"

"reminds me of my own heart/mankind's heart without Christ and the vs ~ Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

"just sent it to my kids and other family members! i've watched it three times already!"

"You don’t know what you have until it’s too late. Be appreciative of what you have. Very nice."

"I didnt feel like crying this early in the morning that was absolutely amazing!

"so sweet and sad all at the same time"

"Cute and well done!"

Hope you have a few minutes today to enjoy this film too! 💟
