says I'm all about the gaps, which is very true. In 1998 ex Pro snowboarder Andy Brewer told about this thing called the ni**le and he thought a skier would be able to jump it. We went up there and Chad Zurinskas said no problem, let's do it. We came back in January and did it. Even though Candide was the first to officially make it over, Kris Ostness decided it should be called Chad's gap. He did this because Chad had the vision of making it and was the first one ever to try it. Another fact is Chad's was done before Pyramid gap. A lot has gone down on the gaps over the years but Backside 12 is biggest trick yet. Hopefully we can so future Generations can enjoy this masterpiece.

I went to an auction yesterday and they auction off a bunch of these old beauties. I love the old abandoned stuff, especially when it's rusted and patina out. Some people call it ugly but I call it . Going to be starting a new Instagram call Artistry in decay. I also think I'm going to start a You tube channel showing more in-depth of these abandoned places and shooting them at night. I know when I post stuff like this I lose followers, to me I just say, oh well to each their own.

Balance Rock under The Milky Way. This was taken with a star tracker. It allows you to take a longer exposure without any Star blur giving you better color. This was a three-minute exposure so that's why you're seeing lots of airglow. Airglow glow is the green tint that's coming off the Earth.

This owl has joined me this summer for nightly cocktails on my deck. The past 13 years I had my dog Stoli and we would check out the city lights and enjoy the summer evenings. This is my first summer without him and it sucks, maybe Brian Murtland sent me this buddy. This is the first summer I ever seen an owl out there and there's actually two. One time it landed within 5 ft of me and hung out, right above where Stoli laid. I used a flash, but because of the eyes I did some research and they said if you just did it once, it be ok. I don't want to harass them. So this will be the only photo you'll see of the owls.

Just looking at the hard drive today, so many photos still buried in it. Here's one of the late great Jamie Pierre using This photo was on my last trip to Engelberg, Switzerland with him. I remember skiing down in the dark after we got done shooting that night, that was lot of fun. I'm sure it's a pro at it. Haha.

in the early morning light and yes he knows how to . We built this jump the day before and jumped it the next morning. I almost had the moon in it but it was slightly out of grame. I love the dead tree and how the light reflects off of it.

If there's a gap jump out there I will find it. To me the hunt for something new is almost as exciting as photographing it. I called this jump "Ghetto Brook". I found it in the fall walking the dog, RIP Stoli.
I really didn't think it would work but persistence paid off. We had the rake snow through the scrub oak to make the inrun and jump. It also was very difficult to shoot, being surrounded by a steep hillside. Here you see doing a 180 with him as he sails over the rat infested waters. @ Sewer City
