This little flower puddle was the last spot we stopped after wrapping up our photoshoot, it was on the way out and the sun was damn near down. I love that we got a bit of a moody vibe because of that, and Kayla just absolutely slayed this whole sesh, I’m so excited to edit the rest ⭐️✨💛🌼🌙

(Crazy to think it’s snowing in some states because it’s been in the 90°s here in Phoenix and supposed to be triple digits next week….Say a prayer for my seniors and me shooting in this bu****it heatwave 🥵)

This beautiful fam just booked this year’s family photos and it reminded me how fast Fall will be here! Remember Christmas/Holiday photos are taken October-November to ensure enough turnaround time for ordering from your favorite printers (I use Shutterfly myself.)

Ahhhh Cat & Alexis’ elopement in Vegas! 🎰✨🤍

I got to meet up with my photo bestie to second-shoot for her and these sweeties on their special day, and it was SUCH a fun day capturing their love 🚬♥️🍻 was so lovely and a dream to shoot in (always a sucker for a retro bathroom) What an honor, so so happy for them! ♥️🫶🏻

When your senior is a swimmer and wants their shoot by the lake, and then is game to get IN the freezing lake…in a dress… let’s just say is a trooper and a badass because that water was COLD, y’all.

But ugh that red hair in the lake at sunset…. A DREAM.
Congrats, Kendall! So happy for you and all your future endeavors. And mama coming in clutch with the blanket and heater on!!! The best evening with you ladies 🌙

Oh- and because I’ll probably get asked and you guys know I don’t gatekeep locations, this is Saguaro Lake (specifically at the marina)!

Gabby absolutely slayed her sesh with me downtown and her sweet mom was the real mvp driving us around and dropping us off at all the locations we wanted to hit 🫶🏻 This sesh was so fun, this year’s seniors are on another level!! The modeling is 🤌🏻 remember me when you’re in Vogue ✨✨✨

Years ago I worked as an elementary school aide and for many of them I was in the preschool classroom. Last year I had a bunch of senior sessions that were with kids I had in preschool, and this year I have even more of them 🥹 What an honor and full circle moment!

I still remember Taylor’s little blonde bob and sweet smile (which hasn’t changed) I got to photograph her older brother’s senior sesh, and now it was her turn ✨ We went to the open desert for hers, girl had some CUTE cowgirl boots to show off after all 💁🏼‍♀️

We also incorporated her twin brother Jackson who got his angel wings to Heaven before he got his footing here on earth. I thought it was such a sweet idea to bring his little urn and celebrate him too, since this was both of their senior session 🕊️ Taylor also paid tribute to her papa, she had a lot of supporters there that day in spirit 🤍

Hot trend alert- couples are eloping in small intimate ceremonies where they are solely focused on each other, then doing their bride & groom portraits on a different day, and I am here for it 👏🏻

Maia & Jordan didn’t have a photographer at their wedding, instead they spent an afternoon doing portraits with me on a day that was solely dedicated to photography. It allowed them to be fully-present on their wedding day instead of thinking about aesthetics. Brilliant.

Black beauty 🤎

Inclusion and representation are always permanent pillars in what I stand for, but especially for black history month it was important to me to do a creative shoot that celebrates black beauty, black excellence, black girl magic ✨ Especially now.

And the only day we all had available happened to be MLK day which just felt so serendipitous and perfect for celebrating equality and these gorgeous WOC.

All of these women are strong, successful powerhouses in their own ways; Zakara () is the best DJ/MC I’ve ever seen- I met her while she was MC’ing the fabulous ’s wedding, I met at a makeup counter in Nordstrom (her perfect eyeshadow and smile stopped me in my tracks) but she’s also empowers youth as a cheerleading coach 🥹 I’ve had the honor of photographing before, most recently her college graduation photos from ASU! 🎓 is an incredible model who’s modeled for me before, we met right here on Instagram 🤍 And I met the day of this shoot, her fierceness was recommended to me by another melanin queen, , who was SUCH a big help with hair and makeup on this day.

I’m so honored all these ladies lent me their time and talent for this shoot 🤎🤎🤎
