Hello Everyone,
I know I haven’t been posting a lot of visual art lately. Honestly, I haven’t been really creating. But I wanted to share what I have been doing. Since May I have been taking singing lessons at Chambers Music Studio. Which has been very healing for me! I’ve been learning a lot. I’m also getting back into playing guitar. The studio had a recital last Friday night and I got to perform My Chemical Romance’s song Cancer. Which I’m so proud of myself for doing. If you told me a year ago I was going to sing in recital I would have told you that you were crazy! I’m really excited to see where this journey takes me! Chambers Music Studio My Chemical Romance

I’m just now getting around posting this. A few weeks ago I drove my friend and I to Philadelphia to see My Chemical Romance. We also explored Philly too while we were there. My Chemical Romance’s music has really helped me mentally these past couple of years. Music really is healing! ❤️‍🩹 I also saw Alice Cooper. Someone I’ve been wanting to see since I was a child. I’m so grateful and happy I got to see them both live. While we were there I got to talk to some other amazing fans. I also made the shirt I’m wearing. Best concert ever! 🖤

Here’s part two of my masking series I created. I collaged things I wanted to tell my younger self with my childhood photos. I was masking a lot when these photos were taken so I added a mask. This series really did help me with my mental health. Art is Healing!!!

I have been meaning to post this series for a while now but honestly I have been nervous to. I created this series last year because I kept thinking about all the things I wanted to tell my younger self. I decided to write it all down and collage it with my childhood photos. I painted a mask over my face because I was masking a lot when these photos were taken. Creating this series really helped me mentally. It helped me think about these things less. I’ll be posting the rest of the collages in a week or two. Stay tuned!

I created these linocut prints over a year ago and I just realized I never posted them. So here you go. I was actually thinking about reprinting them in different colors but keeping the blood red of course. I feel like menstruation doesn’t get talked about enough in society due to people being disgusted or embarrassed by it so that’s why I create art about it. To help normalize it!

I created this piece last summer. It's part two of my piece Chained Feelings. I know things are going to be okay and good things are coming! This past year I have been exploring my spiritual side more and have been thinking more about what I believe in. The photo I transferred on the fabric is one of the photos I took for Chained Feelings. I then dyed the photo pink, yellow and orange. These colors represent love, hope, compassion, happiness, joy, comfort, and positivity. The beads I chose were pearls, rose quartz, topaz, and clear glass beads. These represent healing, love, peace, and affection.

Today is the inauguration for the expired mango. I remember soon after election day he said in an interview that he didn’t want any protesting happening today and I think we should give him exactly what he doesn’t want! Also with the TikTok thing please remember that he is trying to manipulate you to gain power and sympathy! So don’t fall for it! So go on TikTok or any social media and say F**K TRUMP! Because it’s freedom of speech! Now is the time to come together as a community. Join your local organizations, go to a local protest today or one in the future, and create art about your feelings and the things you care about! It may not seem like it now but this will help bring positive change to the world! If you are protesting today please stay safe and warm! I love you all!

This is a piece I created last summer. It’s about a secret between a friend and I. It’s my way of communicating with them and expressing my feelings. I wanted to express my feelings in a way that I have found is healthy for me, instead of keeping them bottled up. I took these self-portraits and transferred them on fabric. I hand embroidered a poem I wrote onto the fabric.

2024 has been a year, but definitely had a lot of great moments. Here are my top 10 art pieces from this year. Some of these I haven’t made an official post yet. That’s something I’m going to work on these next couple of weeks. I created a lot but I didn’t post as much because there were times my mental health wasn’t great. I’m hoping 2025 will be an amazing year. I definitely have art ideas and I’m currently working on projects. I’m excited to share them with everyone in the future!
