At A Touch of Glass Photography, we happen to create beautiful photographs and cinematic films—but that’s not who we are at our core.

As I look through the thousands of images I’ve created over the last decade, certain photographs continue to pull me back. Not because they’re my most popular images, but because they represent something deeper than photography.

They represent possibility.

The graduate seated among old books reminds me that education is more than a degree. Every page turned, every late night, every sacrifice made eventually becomes a chapter in someone’s success story. The image isn’t about the books—it’s about the woman who refused to let her story end where it began.

The image of papers flying through the air captures a different truth. There comes a moment when preparation is over. The studying, the stress, the doubt, the second-guessing—all of it gives way to accomplishment. Sometimes success looks like carefully following the plan. Other times it looks like throwing the papers in the air and celebrating the fact that you made it.

The portrait by the window resonates with me because it symbolizes knowledge and vision. Books can teach us facts, but education should also teach us how to see the world differently. The most powerful thing a person can possess is not information—it’s perspective.

And then there’s the image of the young woman walking confidently across the lawn in traditional attire. To me, that photograph speaks of identity. In a world that often encourages people to blend in, there is something powerful about embracing where you come from while boldly stepping toward where you’re going. These standout bit there’s more…

When I photograph people, I am rarely focused on the pose alone. I’m searching for the story beneath the smile. The journey beneath the achievement. The person beneath the title.

There’s something powerful about photographing a wedding at Newark City Hall. The architecture, the history, the quiet elegance of the space — it all becomes the perfect backdrop for two people choosing forever.

What made this moment special wasn’t just the location. It was the way these two looked at each other when everything else faded into the background. The calm. The confidence. The connection. That’s the stuff we chase as photographers.

A Love Story Written in Letters, Laughter, and Forever

Some weddings are grand. Others are intimate. But the most memorable weddings are the ones where you can feel the love in every moment.

Izaiah and Sofia’s wedding at Stone Barn was exactly that.

From the handwritten letters they exchanged before seeing one another, to the quiet anticipation of their first touch around the weathered barn doors, every detail reflected a relationship built on friendship, trust, and genuine love. Before they ever walked down the aisle, they were already sharing their hearts.

The ceremony was beautiful, but it was the moments in between that told the real story. The nervous smile. The tears held back while reading a letter. The way they reached for each other’s hands. The look on their faces when they realized this was finally their day.

And when they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends, it felt like the beginning of something even greater than the celebration itself.

As photographers, we often say that our job is to capture moments. But with Izaiah and Sofia, we had the privilege of documenting a promise—a promise to stand together through every season of life, just as they stood together on this beautiful day.
