A week ago today, Laurie and I shot a beautiful late-summer wedding at one of my favorite small venues, Washington’s Crossing Inn. There’s something just so quaint about this place and the location, right in the old town with its well-maintained assortment of colorful old masonry buildings and stunning view’s of the Delaware river… it simply can’t be beat. For a photographer, it’s like being a kid in a candy store of backdrops.

Although it was warm, we had that beautiful, coveted late-afternoon sun last Monday for Ann and Joe’s session behind the Art Museum. Just a few highlights from Karen & Floyd’s summer e-session from last week, fresh on the blog. This was a fun one! The first cool day after a long heat wave, it was a beautiful and bustling afternoon down at the Art Museum and surrounding area. These two were so flirty and SO cute together. Here are some scenes from last month’s downtown winter wedding, featuring the extremely adorable Megan & Jeff. I am SO HAPPY we were able to get a decent amount of outside shots. Was it chilly? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Although that’s easy for me to say, since I was bundled up in my winter weather-wear. Their first look in Signer’s Garden was so sweet, conveniently located just across the street from the Hotel Monaco lobby.

We didn’t have to walk far to capture some beautiful & classic Phila backdrops, replete with clear winter sunlight, plenty of red brick backdrops and bonus soundtrack of cheerful songbirds. When it was time to escape the chill, Megan & Jeff sat for a beautiful, intimate set of images in the cozy and warm hotel lobby, a crackling fire just a few feet away (all these years and I never tire of the Monaco lobby decor). I just loved being a part of this day. Thank you Megan & Jeff for being so absolutely awesome to work with. You definitely set the tone for your day with your laid back, fun and light hearts ❤️
