Hi, it’s Jim from James Boos Photography, and let me say on the outset, it’s great to be back behind the camera again after a brief but necessary absence due to a serious medical concern involving a family member.
The chemo treatments have proven to be effective and the outlook is very encouraging. I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their understanding and support during this time. It has meant a lot to our family.
Now let’s get shooting those images for you!

My absence from posting over the past few months has caused some to wonder what has happened to me or my photography studio. I am not one to mix my business page with my personal page, however both have been affected by events out of my control, which demanded my full attention.

Our family was saddened by the passing of my wife’s father, who resided in Georgia, after a long illness. It brought my wife great comfort to be by his side during his final time on earth..

Without time to properly grieve, our family was devastated with the news that our middle son was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma, stage 4. Most of our time has been (and continues, for his mother) to be spent in Michigan, where he resides and is being treated the U of M’s renowned cancer center.

I would like to resume photography sessions in the very near future. I just can not commit to exactly when this will happen, at this point.
