Capping off individual summer camps and wrapping up 1:1 week with dad with my oldest. From a father of three, just inset the thoughts and feelings one would hope to get out of 1:1 time with each individual kid for an entire week and how “easy” it is to spend time focused on one kid while making memories and annoying each others time - that’s my biggest take away from this summer. I’m extremely lucky to have such amazing kids and to deep dive on precious time with them.

Deva and I enjoyed crabbing, eating ice cream, long hikes through Rose Valley, picnics with tennis matches as entertainment and long conversations about her new school and life.

Looking forward to family camp this week to cap off an amazing summer. ✌🏻👌🏻

While deciding which camps to send our three kids to, and I decided that I’d set aside a full week to spend with each kid separately. Not only was this to save a bucks, but selfishly to experience truly immersive 1:1 time with each of our three kids. And as any parent knows, that 1:1 time is a rarity.

This week marked my time with my son, Kavi. Having 3 hour conversations while driving to our deep woods campsite, not interrupted by music or screens is, beyond the conversation content, something I don’t know was possible. That alone, not to mention the experiences we shared this week, was worth it.
