There’s always a minute to take a minute...
Anat & Ori are my neighbours and friends and one of the most amazing couples I know. Their daughters are so fun and full of life, this family is just a joy to be around! Every year I get to do their photo shoot and I love that they enjoy it as much as I do and print their photos too. It’s really amazing to see a family take so much time, effort and joy in preserving their memories ♥️.

Love & rivalry pretty much sum up what siblings are about. But on wedding days, it’s all love! Akash is Riya’s younger brother and his sister’s wedding day he sang the loudest, danced the most and rallied everyone to party until the couldn’t anymore! I’ll stop talking and let these photos tell you the kind of cheerleader he was for his sister on her wedding day 🕺🏽

There’s never been a wedding I’ve photographed where the first kiss didn’t seem like literally the first time a couple is kissing. It’s magical as you see them shut out the rest of the world for those few moments.

One of the most beautiful aspects of photographing weddings is the opportunity to capture unbridled emotions in their most candid form.
This intimate scene between a mother and son says it all. He comforts his mother as her daughter and his sister is finally “given away” in the “Kanya Daan” ceremony.

The “Varmala” or garland ceremony usually indicates the start of the wedding rituals in Indian weddings. But it also indicates the beginning of something significant for the couple that’s getting married. I love this photo of Deep & Riya, unfettered joy and absolute happiness and this picture says it all!
Also, I can’t get over how friggin’ good they both look!

Today is Hugo’s birthday! He’s 5 years old today, but doesn’t act it....not one bit.
He barks and jumps when he see his friends,
He can play fetch endlessly and not have a clue as to how tired he is,
And he’ll snuggle with all his toys every night when he goes to bed.
If you’re in the neighbourhood or know of my little boy, come and sing happy birthday and give him a treat. He’ll give you some sloppy kisses in return 🐶!

“Kanya Aagman”, aka Waking down the aisle 👰..
Traditionally speaking, Indian weddings don’t really have a part where brides “walk down the aisle”. Instead, there is a tradition known as “kanya aagman” which translates to “Arrival of the bride”, where male relatives from the bride’s side walk her to the mandap.
I personally love this photo of Riya, she looks gorgeous and the light just falls so beautifully on her 😍

The “Baraat” is typically the wedding procession led by the groom’s side all the way to the bride’s house where weddings typically used to take place. Of course, in the 21st century it’s a procession to the wedding “Mandap” that isn’t just restricted to groom’s side. It’s just one big dance-off! 💃

As elaborate as photos of brides getting ready can be, it’s equally awesome to document the groom. North Indian weddings typically have the groom and his posse wearing turbans. The process of tying the turban is elaborate enough that an expert needs to be called in.
