Across the street are the local headquarters of Dow Chemical and Wells Fargo Bank, and rising from Cente

r City are One & Two Liberty Place, the first skyscrapers to break the local ‘Gentleman’s Agreement’ that no building in Philly would be taller than city hall. These towers, symbolic of the dynamic changes taking place in the local economy, are visible from most of Philly’s neighborhoods: working class communities hit hard by deindustrialization and now squeezed by austerity and the gentrifying forces that were unleashed by Liberty Place.

WolfenColor NC400…. Or is it 200? Here's a wild card, an alleged new emulsion from Orwo. TBC I did not pay $23 a roll for this, short dated rolls were on sale at B&H for under $10, which meets the criteria so why not 🙂 From Orwo's web site: "WOLFEN NC400 is a brand, new 400 ASA, 36 exposure, colour photographic film…....

Philly Vigil for Renee Good – NoIcePhilly

Federal IcE agents shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis last week. While there have been peaceful mass protests in MSP and across the US since, armed federal agents are chasing school buses and knocking on doors demanding access to homes to 'verify citizenship'. Kodak UltraMax400 Since Fuji Superia400X has been discontinued 😦 I'm trying out a couple different ISO400 C-41 film stocks. The political economy of film photography is… well… weird RN… and film pricing is responding to inflation, fashion, private equity capital flows and the market distortions caused by Kodaks 2012 bankruptcy that are still rattling around the global economy. I don't really obsess about which color film I use....
