Just wanna give another S/O to for allowing me to come and film on

I had drove from Atlantic City to Philly a week before the opening so I could really tap in while I had less distractions and more time.
Only three vendors were open—and I made sure to support and show love to all of them. Thank you all for your hospitality and conversations





I spent years living in Atlanta and saw firsthand what Black ownership and excellence can look like. Coming back home and seeing it take shape in Philly felt good because I know this is setting the right example for the city 💯 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

I was in my neighborhood voting during Stacey Abrams’ run for governor, camera in hand, just trying to document the spirit of Election Day…
and then I looked up and saw Jesse Jackson standing outside 😳

I got nervous — not intimidated — just overwhelmed knowing I was face to face with someone who has been a big part of our Black history. When I approached him, I didn’t even know what to say. I reached out my hand, and he embraced me with love like a brother. Humble. Kind. Still present and Still doing his work 💯

8 years later, This photo hits harder and means so much . Saddened to hear about the loss, but forever grateful for the moment and the energy we shared ❤️‍🔥

Rest in power, Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. God bless your family 🤲🏾
