Perfectly Imperfect Photography Cedar Park TX, Family Photography, Maternity Photos + Newborn Photographer - Pamela Clark I am a mother of 5. Step mom to 2. Grandmother of 2.

I am a wife, a friend, a former software developer and a photographer. I spent years documenting my family through photographs. At first it was a simple point and shoot 35mm camera. I had no idea what I was doing or how the photos would turn out. Then came the digital era, and having the ability to see the images and delete the bad ones really made me focus more on composition. I found that I loved capturing my children during activity. Not so much while posing. The best photos are capturing those expressions they made while telling a story, or laughing, or while determined to achieve a goal. Sometimes, even that pout or cry was the perfect photograph. Over the years, I have fallen in love with taking photographs of families, babies, children, pets, graduates, engagements, weddings, maternity and newborns. I strive to capture the moment as it unfolds rather than capture a posed idea of what the moment should be. I want my clients to remember the day, the way it occurred, in all its perfectly imperfect beauty.

I’ve been keeping the sweetest little secret. 🤍🤍

Our twin grandsons are here.

Santi & Theo. 🥹

I’ve photographed hundreds of tiny fingers, sleepy newborn stretches, brand-new families and some of the most emotional moments of people’s lives.

But these two?

These are my son’s babies.
My grandsons.
And somehow, that makes everything feel completely different. 🤍

For now, you’re getting iPhone photos because Mimi hasn’t officially gotten these two in front of her camera yet. 😂 That changes later this week, and I already know photographing them is going to be one of those sessions I’ll never forget.

Welcome to the family, Santi & Theo.

You have no idea how loved you already are. 🤍🤍

And yes… Mimi has been waiting VERY patiently to finally share you. 🥹

The first year feels endless… until suddenly it’s over. 🤍

In the beginning, you count everything in hours.
Hours since they ate. Hours since they slept. Hours since you slept.

Then it becomes weeks.
Then months.

And somewhere between the sleepless nights, first smiles, first foods, first teeth and first steps… you look up and your baby is one.

Those tiny feet that once curled up against you are suddenly ready to take them everywhere.

Motherhood is strange like that. Some days feel like they’ll never end, while the years somehow move far too quickly.

So take the picture. Get in the picture. Hold them a little longer. Memorize the tiny things.

Because the first year doesn’t feel fast while you’re living it.

It only feels fast when it’s gone. 🤍

If this hit you right in the mom heart, save it - or share it with a mama who needs the reminder today.

Those two little boys in the background? They’re my grandsons. 💙💙

This maternity session was already incredibly special to me because the beautiful mama in this photograph is my daughter-in-law, and that very proud dad is my son.

And those two tiny profiles behind them? My twin grandsons. 🥹

Sweet boys, you have no idea how much joy you have already brought to our family.

As a maternity photographer, this is the kind of work I absolutely love creating. I photographed this portrait in my Cedar Park studio and then incorporated their actual ultrasound images into the background during post-production to create something that feels a little more like art than a traditional maternity portrait.

It’s not going to be everyone’s style - and that’s okay. But for the families who want something dramatic, personal and completely different, this is an option I offer.

Because your maternity photographs don’t have to look like everyone else’s.

And this one?

This one will forever be more than a photograph to me.

It’s my son.
My daughter-in-law.
My grandsons.
And one incredibly special chapter of our family’s story, frozen in a photograph. 🤍

Would you incorporate your baby’s ultrasound into a maternity portrait like this? Tell me YES or TRADITIONAL in the comments — I’d genuinely love to know which style my Austin mamas prefer.

When Mimi bribes you with snacks during your modeling session. 😂

But here’s the thing: photographing children isn’t just about knowing your camera. It’s about knowing kids.

I’ve raised 5 of my own, I’m Mimi to 3 (soon to be 5! 💕), I photograph children constantly, and I work with little models for our children’s boutique. And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that no two kids are the same.

Some need snacks. Some need silliness. Some need a few minutes to warm up. Some need a break and a cuddle. And sometimes, they’re simply done—and knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing how to get the shot.

Patience, connection and reading a child are a huge part of what I bring to every family session.

Because the best photos of your children happen when we let them be exactly who they are. ❤️

And yes… sometimes Goldfish crackers are part of the process. 😂

Six years.

Hundreds of lattes.

Countless YouTube videos.

Expensive espresso beans.

Me every single morning:

“Maybe today’s the day…”

It was not.

😂😂

The good news?

I haven’t stopped trying.

If you’ve been working at something that still doesn’t look effortless yet…

You’re in good company.

Tell me…

What’s the one thing you’ve been practicing forever but still can’t seem to master?

Three years. Three birthdays. One little aviator. ✈️🤍

It feels like yesterday we were creating his newborn portraits, dreaming up his very first airplane adventure. Then came his first birthday soaring through the clouds, and now… somehow… he’s already THREE.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch families grow. Seeing tiny newborns become curious toddlers is such a privilege, and recreating a theme that’s become part of their story makes it even more special.

Here’s to another year of big dreams, wild adventures, and reaching for the skies. I can’t wait to see where we fly next. ✈️💙

What theme has your little one loved so much that you’ve kept it going year after year? Tell me below! ⬇️
