Linda, Natalie, and Parker. Three generations. 🤍

I have been waiting a long time to ask these three if I could do a generations session, and I finally did.

Silly? Maybe. But there’s something about these three—the way they are each an imprint on one another, and maybe their beauty intimidated me just a little. 😂

But here they are. Three generations of beauty, strength, and a whole lot of love.

Another publication. 🥹📸

And this time featuring my sweet Kate.

It’s still pretty surreal seeing something I created on the pages of a photography magazine. I hope that feeling never gets old.

Growing up, I was never really told, “You can be anything you want to be.”

But I knew I wanted to be creative… and I also wanted to be a high-level assistant. 😂
So now I do both. 😂😂
What I never imagined was having a creative space of my own. A place to take pictures, dream up ideas, meet people, laugh a lot, and create something that feels completely mine.
Sometimes I look around Six18 Studio and still think… how did this happen?!
To everyone who has supported me, booked a session, shared a post, trusted one of my crazy ideas, or simply cheered me on—thank you. ❤️

A little behind the scenes at Six18 Studio 📸

Thank you to Ben’s mom for grabbing these pictures, because it’s actually really interesting for me to see what I look like when I’m working.

Apparently, I have no concept of personal space. 😂 One minute I’m belly crawling across the floor, the next I’m literally straddling a client, or standing on something, or crouching in a corner… whatever it takes to get the shot I have in my head.

But these pictures also reminded me of something else.

I’m still learning. Every single time I pick up my camera.

Even this past year, I learned a pretty big lesson about making sure I communicate with my clients beforehand about their expectations and what they’re hoping to get from their session. I don’t always get everything right—and I think it’s important to say that.

I want to keep getting better.

Better at photography. Better at communicating. Better at creating an experience where people can relax, laugh, love on each other and forget there’s a camera pointed at them.

Because underneath all the weird positions and crazy ideas, I never take for granted how I want people to feel when they’re in front of my camera.

And yes… apparently I will pull a Spider-Man and hang from the ceiling for you. 😂❤️ 🤷🏻‍♀️

A little in-studio photo sesh with Amy & Aubryn. 🤍

This is exactly what I love about photographing people—the laughter, the sweetness, and being comfortable enough to get a little silly.

And somehow, I can almost always catch at least one photo with that little burst of pure personality and energy. 😂

This family is extra special to me, I grew up with Aubryn’s dad, so getting to photograph these two together made this session even sweeter.

These are the moments I love creating in the studio. Simple. Comfortable. And very much you. 🤍

There is something so special about those first days as a family of three. 🤍

Honesty and Ben brought sweet baby Amelia into the studio, and I could have photographed the way they looked at her all day. The tiny toes, the snuggles, the kisses, and those moments when Mom and Dad just stared at their little girl like they still couldn’t believe she was theirs.

No elaborate newborn setup needed—just a brand-new family loving on their baby.

Welcome to the world, Amelia. You are already so very loved. 🤍
