This day was full of so much emotion, love, and thoughtfulness and is one of the highlights of my career. 💕

This engagement session!!! Ahhh!! Had the best time photographing this day. They wanted something a little different but something that still felt like them. We narrowed it down to sandwiches at a favorite local spot and a picnic and games in the park. This was such a fun day with these two 🥹💕

What’s not to love about this vibeeee?!
Had the greatest time photographing these two and this “renaissance faire but make it queer” vibes. Though who are we kidding, the renn faire is already pretty gay.
Some film photos at the end 🫶🏻

These two and this day 😩🫶🏻
Greta and David wanted to do something different for their wedding day. They didn’t want to go the traditional route. Instead, they wanted to be surrounded by the people they love and spending and doing all the things they love to do.
We started with a first look outside the Denver Art Museum before touring the museum with their closest friends and family. We walked to the courthouse afterwards and they had the sweetest ceremony on the steps.
We then headed to Union Station for them to have some truly alone time at the bar before we all piled into the train to head back to their house for a backyard reception.
When we got there their guests were helping set up the backyard into something so beautiful and thoughtful. Small details that made their day truly theirs. They played games, they laughed, and they had truly a perfect day.
Soooo grateful to photograph days like these.

Something I love about playing a part in wedding days is trying to create space for intentional alone time. On most wedding days you have guests during some part of your day. Whether you have 100+ guests or just a handful of people—I find it so meaningful to find some time to be truly alone with each other.
I’ve had moments where it’s just me and the couple, and I’ve had moments where it really truly is just the couple and I’m off in the bushes grabbing some photos from a distance.
At the very end of this night I suggested to the couple that they go under this gazebo and just have a little moment together.
I went far away so that I couldn’t hear them and snapped a couple photos of them.
Whenever I do this, it always seems to be so meaningful to my couples. A moment for them to slow down, to pause, and to reflect on the whirlwind of the day they had.

This surprise proposal took place in a tucked-away corner of Washington Park in Denver and during Pride Month (the best time of the year). Liz had been planning this for months with Celia’s mom, keeping it completely under wraps while Celia thought they were just stopping by the park before a graduation party.

Turning the corner they both noticed me and then noticed the set up and realized—ITS HAPPENING!!

Having photographed them previously before, I was also crying behind the camera as Liz proposed. I had grown so close to the both of them and cared so deeply about their love story. It was such a joy to be able to witness and document such an emotional moment for the two of them.
