After countless hours of searching over the last 3 years I finally found and photographed a Great Horned Owl outside the nest! I never would have been able to take this photo if my wife hadn’t pointed him out. This was all thanks to her after searching the trees for over an hour!

Two years in a row, I have only seen Eastern Towhees in Southern Ohio. They make a very good subject though!

I went searching for barred owls yesterday, unfortunately everyone was sleeping, so as I walked back past the pond, I spotted these beautiful female mallards. I perched up right on the waters edge as they swam right over to a log maybe 15 feet from me which allowed me to get these up close photos!
