We are all human and make judgements in life……. but before you judge others, remember to take a long hard look at yourself.

Would you want someone to judge you?!?

That lady in line with 5 children paying with food stamps may have lost her husband…… or the gentleman without teeth my have a gum disease and not enough money to properly care for himself, but works every day …….. or the old lady next door may be mean because she has lost everyone she knows and loves, or that homeless man on the corner may be a war veteran…………

Everything is not always how it appears🧿

The best way to celebrate Valentine is to remember the love of God. It should be a time of giving, because if you look at the origin of Valentine, it was about the priest, who actually showed sincere love to humanity. Valentine reminds us of the gift of God to mankind and true love of God in our hearts. That we have to also love the way God loves. God loves unconditionally and sacrificially, as He loves till the very end. His kind of love is without any strings attached to it.

Historians believe the tradition of tossing beads dates back to the English Renaissance era, but was introduced in New Orleans when a carnival king threw fake gems and jewelry to his “loyal subjects”. In the late 1800’s, krewes, or party organizers, set the scene with an organized parade of debauchery where they passed out baubles and other shiny objects for revelers to rejoice in.

The traditional (and official) colors of Carnival are purple, green and gold. The colors were selected by Rex in 1872 to honor the visiting Russian Grand Duke Alexis Alexis Alexandrovich Romanoff, whose house colors were purple, green and gold. These royal colors are each symbolic: purple stands for justice, gold for power and green for faith.
