Florida, WHEN were you going to tell me about your Venice–Malibu love child of a city? 🌴✨

We knew almost nothing about Naples when Macie and Chase invited us down for their engagement session, so it really did feel like a blind date with a coastal town… and honestly, it was love at first sight.

Naples is the kind of place that makes the beach feel enjoyable even for me (a known sand-avoider who thinks going past knee-deep in the ocean means I’m destined to be a shark’s lunch meat).

I fully lived out a photographer’s dream this weekend, wandering streets lined with the prettiest tropical color palette. The kind that quietly convinced me that my closet could use a little more color.

And getting to experience it with Chase & Macie made it even better. They were the kindest hosts, sharing their favorite spots, giving us local insight, and being so gracious when we had to shift timing to dodge the one rainy forecast of the weekend.

That little pivot gave us an empty 5th Ave South (which feels rare) and the softest, dreamiest morning light.

Honestly, between this place and these two, my job felt almost too easy. Just documenting a few moments of their blissfully engaged season in the place they get to call home.

I’ll probably be planning my next trip back in my head as I finish editing this engagement session. So help me decide. Or you were packing for Naples—are you leaning bold florals or flowy pale linens? Both? Ok both.

I don’t know which emotion weighs heavier when I photograph sessions at a new location:

🪻the nerves of hoping we get amazing light AND backdrops…

Or…

🪻the excitement for the opportunity to push myself creatively and play on a new “playground” with my couples.

is an iconic venue for romantic portraits here in Georgia, so only a new Atlanta transplant like me would be feeling those emotions driving up to it. It took no time at all for excitement to win out, as we laid eyes on the sprawling Italian villa-style garden estate. (Not to mention the super accommodating and friendly staff who made us feel welcome upon arrival!)

Just when I thought the venue alone would work in my favor, Juliana and Michael walked through each scene like they naturally belonged. Could my job as a Georgia wedding photographer get any easier?

In less than 12 hours I already have a batch of sneak peeks I can’t hold back. But goodness gracious… it was SO HARD to choose favorites. I guess you’ll be seeing more of these two lovers soon 😉

Would you believe we almost shot these on a rainy day???

I met with Victoria and Jay (and their precious baby girl Elle) for their engagement session at yesterday. But we were SUPPOSED to shoot on Saturday. That is, until Georgia’s weather forecast started predicting some long awaited rain storms.

We stayed close on text, watching predictions like hawks. Until I finally made the recommendation to move to Sunday. The forecast? Overcast skies but 0% chance of rain. I said, “I’ll take that!” Much less scary than 95% chance of downpours on Saturday (although, as life has it, I think that was a little exaggerated… the weather man sure has some wicked job security.)

But with a fully booked spring schedule and the need for Victoria and Jay to make the almost 3 hour drive to make their session, rescheduling for Sunday was one of our last chances to meet before their August wedding. We took that chance, and my oh my — was it the right call!

Once again, the weather man can eat dirt. Because we had crystal blue skies and golden sun-drenched glow like you wouldn’t believe! V&J got their dream session, all because they took the leap with me out of trust for me and the process. Not every rainy session story ends like this, but when it does, my heart sings a little. 🥹

I am in love with Kylee and Trevor’s engagement photos at Winn Park in Atlanta!! I couldn’t believe how glowy the light was. It’s like it followed them like an angelic halo everywhere I posed them. Or maybe that’s the bridal glow of the engagement season between them. You be the judge, I’ll share more soon. 😉

I had too many cutesy country lyrics in my head to pick just one for this session. 🌾💛

Nate and Emily are counting down the months till their December wedding, so we just had to take advantage of springtime at that very spot! Can we normalize this?? Using your venue for your engagement photos? 😍

I couldn’t stop swooning at these two. I wish I started collecting a dollar for every time Nate gave his bride a sweet compliment. He kept adoring her smile, her eyes, her hair, her overall beauty, her laugh… he was killing me.

This was for sure the best way to kick off the 2026 wedding season!! Can’t wait to share more soon!

Can we make January weddings the new June wedding? 🌲✨🤍

Mary and Dan had such a joy-filled wedding day in Blue Bell, PA! They fully leaned into the leftover Christmas decorations in truly the most elegant way.

I had only met Mary once when photographing her cousin Rachel’s wedding, and she was so sweet when she told me that after seeing me work, she just HAD to book me too! 🥹 We didn’t get a chance to do an engagement session, but we stole away during their rehearsal dinner for portraits and I instantly knew their wedding would be a breeze.

I appreciate just how connected Dan and Mary are, and their carefree spirits made the day even more beautiful, despite the incessant rain. I was honored to capture their memories up close, and am still reliving some of my favorite moments from the day. It was totally worth the travel from Atlanta.

I’m excited to share more as I plug away at their gallery, but here’s a teaser for the ‘gram. ☺️ Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Martinez!! 🥂

P.S. I’m so proud of my hubby for the amazing shots he got as second shooter!! He’s really getting the hang of this thing, he better be careful before I drag him into a more permanent role. 🫢

Rehearsed and glowing in anticipation! 🤍🥂✨

I’m in Blue Bell, PA to celebrate Dan & Mary and I cannot WAIT for their special day today! First was a warm and joyful rehearsal dinner at the stunning William Penn Inn. And now we’re clearing off cards for a full day for these two at . Mary told me to lean right into the magical Christmas vibes — say LESS! 😍

It’s also a special one, with my husband Kevin breaking back into the second shooter seat after a short hiatus. We’re enjoying some mom and dad time away while Abby gets spoiled by her grandparents. More to come soon, so don’t miss it!

Take the picture. Deliver too many of them.

We spent a beautiful Christmas with my grandparents. It was one I tried to tell myself to take in each moment, and I’m so glad I did. Because only two weeks later, the Lord saw fit to call Grandpa home.

A full life was finally taking its toll on his body. Just a couple days ago, his nurse asked him a few basic questions: name, birthday… and “Where are you going soon?” … “Home to see Jesus,” he replied. What a gift.

Having a summer birthday meant we were visting them at the lake most years, and my grandma and grandpa made a yearly tradition of planning surprise birthday dates, a whole itinerary of activities and shopping and lunch together. As I grew older, that turned into just shopping for clothes, my grandpa faithfully sitting outside the store while my grandma and I shopped. And he was always happy to sit through my excited presentation of every piece we picked, suggesting I needed new shoes to go with it. So off to the shoe store next.

He once helped me build a homemade harmonica for a school project. He’d fix my toys that had broken. He me my first point and shoot camera and taught me how to use it. I can still recall his hearty KJV prayers before supper. I clearly remember his gravelly voice as he read “Footsteps in the Sand” at my uncle’s funeral. I could never fit all the memories in a single post.

I wasn’t sure if I should post this here. But I think in the end it matters because as a wedding photographer, I capture one of the two times in your life that your whole family might come together. A wedding… tragically, the next time might be a funeral. That’s why I don’t just want to take pretty pictures. I want photos of your people. As many as possible. Because you might find yourself digging back through when they’re gone. I’ll click as much as I can. And deliver more of them than what my peers tell me I should.

Thank you for overshooting + overdelivering at my wedding. 🤍

See you soon Grandpa. I’ll keep watching for the deer. Promise. 🕊️✝️
