POV: You opened the listing “just to look” and now you’re knee deep planning your next vacation.

A few favorites from a recent Airbnb shoot through their Pro Photography Program.

I’ll take the room with the good natural light, please.

Welcome to an Anchorage summer — where you might need sunglasses, a rain jacket, and an umbrella… sometimes all at once.

Luckily, a little weather makes the stroll through downtown Anchorage even more memorable. But did you know you can spice that up even more with local history along the way! Shoutout to Serena for her summertime tours, rain, shine or a little bit of both, she'll be sure to make it a fun and memorable time for you.

Have you been on her tour yet? Whats the coolest historical fact that you know about Anchorage? Share what you know!!

Its been...its been a time! If you're part of my newsletter then you already know some of my super duper cool updates. And if you arent, guess it sucks to suck? Send me your email and I can fix that.

Anyways, here is Allan. He's got a pretty cool career where he helps other businesses to strategize, streamline, and become clear with their longterm goals. Aka, a business coach. Different careers, same end goal. Helping others put their best foot forward. And who wouldn't want to work with this ball of sunshine? I mean, LOOK AT THAT SMILE!

New headshots. New opportunities. Same goal: helping local professionals look their best.

Congratulations to this brand-spanking new realtor! It was truly a pleasure photographing you, and I can't wait to watch your business grow.

But question for you all: If your job required a professional headshot, would you rather be in the studio or outdoors?

Fun fact: I photograph healthcare professionals all the time.

But a little less fun fact: I can never share those photos because they belong to my employer.

That's why I chuckled to myself when I had the opportunity to photograph Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center. It felt a little like bringing my day job into my side business for an afternoon.

Im also really bad about always sharing this side of my work, so here are a few favorites from the shoot. Do you have a favorite? Which one do you think encompasses the "man at work"?

So, let's talk about that reel I posted the other day. The engagement was good, but the sidebar conversations were AMAZING! I had so many photographers and non-photographers reach out to me and talk more about it. "They never knew", or "should they try it at their next shoot", they watched it to see settings and learn something they have never gotten exposure to. I did not expect that, and I am so glad that some of my knowledge is helping others.

Remember, community over competition. Always.

Anyways, here is a carousel of images from a living room I did. Everyone says you need that on social media? Idk.
What were your thoughts on the recent reel? Do you want me to show you more of "how to" for different niches? Do you want me to focus on one? Let me know your thoughts in the comments pleaseeeee

I have a lot of wedding photographer friends, I have a lot of nature photography friends, I have a lot of portrait photography friends. And no, this is not me boasting about having a lot of friends. This is me realizing that I don’t really have a lot of real estate photography friends. And because of this, I’ve found myself explaining exposure bracketing a bunch. Not mad at it, just find it fascinating.

So, here is a very quick on how to get for real estate photos, if you were ever curious

I really can’t explain it, and have no clue when it started exactly, but every time I see a bald eagle fly over me (or near me) I get all giddy. Am I headed in the right direction? Are they just incredibly majestic? Is it cause “‘Murica”?

Well, truth be told they are kind of garbage birds. And I mean that in the most respectful way. You can find a whole lot of these dudes outside the Wendy’s dumpster, waiting for their next meal. So I’m still not too sure why I still get giddy with that knowledge, but hey, I’ll take the W.

Its official, birthday season is finally upon my family. It starts in early April, with my boyfriend's birthday. Then one of my best friend's bday is in mid-April, followed by my immediate family's birthday hell week. May 8th, 10th and 13th. Plus aunts and uncles sprinkled throughout May as well.

Im not really a huge cake fan, but something about this season makes me crave it like crazy. Its almost like I can taste it now, my body knows its coming. So, who of you is going to get me a bday cake? You have about a month to plan.
