♡ pick a location that feels like you two - or make it fun with a date night vibe (coffee shop, arcade, etc)
♡ let yourselves move, laugh, dance, and just be together
♡ don’t stress about posing — focus on each other instead

I had a mom ask me if they missed the newborn window for good pictures. Their son was born 4 weeks early, they spent time in the NICU and they’ve been home for 2 weeks now. They are just now feeling somewhat settled and hope they can still get good pictures.

There is never a missed window in photography. My answer was, they absolutely did not miss the window. Sure, they say the best time is the first two weeks. But I don’t agree. ANYTIME is a good time.

Every single day our babies grow more and more. Any moment we get to pause their size to frame it on our walls, is a great moment.

Don’t let the timeframe of “the first two weeks” stop you from capturing those pictures. My postpartum journey wasn’t easy. I didn’t feel ready to take pictures until our daughter was 6 months old, and I don’t regret it one bit! It’s what worked for us and I look back at those pictures with nothing but smiles 🥰
