I keep coming back to this image. Arms wide open, reaching for something higher, ready for whatever’s next.

Over a decade ago I chose a path most photographers don’t take. It was intimidating. It still sometimes is. But that’s exactly what makes the work worth doing, showing up different, on purpose.

Lately I’ve been sitting with an idea I can’t stop thinking about: what if I opened that path up to others? A creative experience for women, finding inspiration, trying something new, and creating without overthinking it.

Nothing’s set in stone yet, but I’m working on it. And I think it’s going to be fun.

The Story Behind the Portrait

I LOVE creating portraits for creative people! She told me, "Dancing is the one thing that makes me forget all my worries, I feel like a bird when I dance." I also found out poppies are her favorite flower, and that sunsets remind her a new day is right around the corner, another chance to dance again :)
