Just a friendly reminder: Many photographers are Small Businesses too. So when you speak/post about Small Businesses, especially artists, please remember to include photographers! While yes, some build their businesses on wedding, babies, families etc, others build their businesses on imagery. Still life, flora, fauna, etc. You can support them by purchasing prints instead of buying prints through major chain stores! Jacquie Shepard

Archie, white rhino. Archie turned 52 in December 2021 and at that time had produced 14 offspring, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and six great great great grandchildren. His offspring are all over the US, and a few are even in other countries.

Just wanted to post a little update to let those who may not know me personally but follow my photography. The past several years have been pretty hectic with the move to Tampa, buying a house, Hurricane Michael all but leveling my hometown, bringing my parents here to live with us until their home was safe with a new roof, my mom's heart surgery, followed by her two cancer diagnoses. Add in Covid and the fact that my full time job is at a hospital. Then my mom passed away this past February. Add in the Florida heat and now more Covid and my desire to keep my family and my patients as safe as possible, my shoot time has been greatly limited.

However, we are heading into fall which means slightly lower temps and significantly lower heat indexes and eventually lower humidity, I am hoping to get back out soon-ish to start shooting again. We also have a fantastic opportunity coming up later this year that I am hoping will offer up some great photography chances!

Stay safe, wear a mask, get vaccinated! Looking forward to seeing you all on the flip side of this craziness!
