Just a tiny glimpse BTS of culling images, importing a session, and finally getting ready to edit. 📸💻

And honestly…IMHO, this is where so much of the hard work happens. The actual session might be an hour or two, but the work doesn’t stop when I pack up my camera.

There’s culling. Importing. Backing everything up. Organizing. Editing. Exporting. Galleries. Emails. Scheduling. Social media. Marketing. Trying to keep people engaged and actually finding clients…

And then there’s LIFE. 😅

Working part-time subbing & college. Mom life. Taking care of an aging parent with health issues. Appointments. Grocery runs. Keeping up with the house. Trying to take care of my own health. Trying to be a wife. Trying to be present for my kids. Trying to keep up with school and everything else life throws at me.

Some days I feel like I’m doing a million things and still somehow behind on all of them…. And I think that’s the part people don’t always see when they look at a photographer’s page.

You see the pretty finished images. 🤎
You don’t see the hours, the late nights, the unfinished to-do lists, or me trying to squeeze editing into whatever little pocket of time I can find.

I’m not complaining. I genuinely love what I do. ❤️

I just think sometimes it’s important to show the real behind the scenes too.

Because this is what running a small photography business actually looks like for me right now. 📸✨

Edric was born prematurely and is truly an absolute miracle. 🥹💙 I’ve had the joy of photographing his birthday sessions over the years, and I absolutely love watching this sweet, dinosaur-loving, always-on-the-go little guy grow! 🦕💚 We did miss his 3rd birthday, but I’m so happy to be celebrating with him again this year. 🥰

These two were the sweetest couple to work with, and I’m still swooning over their gallery.
