Four days traversing the full Denali Highway in pursuit of nature's most elusive yet fascinating subjects: Ultra runners.

The 2023 Denali Ultras (50K | 100K | 135MI) are a wrap, and watching these amazing individuals run after their goals in some seriously challenging weather, over some seriously wild terrain, was an absolute honor.

Album includes my photos as well as RD Sean Tracy's photos from along the way.

A VERY belated sneak peek for this little ginger-haired miss! Ms. Maggie the Basset hound would not be eclipsed, however, so she got a set of "Maggie Show" photos of her own.

I have to use this post to also apologize if you are a Fall 2021 client: there's a good chance I am WAY behind on editing and uploading your shoot. If you will be using your 2021 photos for your holiday cards this season, please let me know!

(Your photographer is a big fan of a well-designed e-Card reading something to the effect of "Happy Festivus!" so that one is obligated neither to snail mail nor mail timely a single card to anyone...but reading the above disclaimer about being woefully behind may render this statement void by reason of Being Behind On All The Things...).

PS. Tip for getting husbands to look at cameras: Schedule your shoot on a non-football day! 😆

You know the adage about eating an elephant, and how it’s done?
One bite at a time, of course.

That’s about how to handle a multi-family, 12-person photo shoot with two littles under 5, too!

This was truly a blast, not least because of the good old trail-running catch-up in the parking lot.
