This huge tree was so cool and smelled of fresh lumber! 🪵 love how they just cut through it for the trail passage!

5 TIPS FOR MORE AFFORDABLE TRAVEL! ⬇️

1. I’m not a travel hacking expert but I do know that points can get you further in the travel world! We travel with Southwest Airlines pretty much all the time because we aren’t flying internationally yet. Building up points on that card has helped tremendously with allowing us to travel!

2. Travel during off season. When you go during peak season, you pay the price for it. Going during a less busy time also means less people and cheaper plane tickets and lodging!

3. Don’t pick a destination just because you’ve always wanted to go, be willing to set aside those bucket list options if they aren’t affordable at the time. Pick a destination that fits your budget.

4. Book plane tickets well in advance - 2+ months. I usually book about 3 months out.

5. Book a VRBO! You have the whole place to yourself and it tends to be less expensive! Vrbo
