**Let the LIFE around you, create the ART inside you.** - Chán André

I'm a coastal based photographer, originally from Oklahoma, I have lived in various places making South Texas my home. A self-taught photographer drawn to the vibrant colors and settings of the Caribbean, Sunsets, beautiful, unique Seascapes and Landscapes are mostly what inspire my work. I live in my jeans and jean shorts, boo

ts and flip flops; but I adore getting all girly, kicking on a pair of heels and going out on the town. I love the color purple, black sharpie's and sticky post it note thingies .....
....ok, that was random.....

From the day I picked up my first camera, a Kodak Baby Brownie, I've always enjoyed the Art of photography. I have always been passionate about photography and enjoy photographing anything and everything. I was the one {in the family, on vacation or at a party with friends, ... still am,} that always had a camera in hand taking the *photo's of the day*, sealing the moment. The energy of capturing special moment's and freezing them in time, in a photograph, is so thrilling to me. To be able to tell a story through my camera's lens has always been fascinating to me There's nothing more exciting than realizing joy, sadness and everyday life when you share it through photography. Published in one of our local magazine's in Corpus Christi, Texas, was an incredibly huge milestone, accomplishment and honor...even making the cover of the magazine. I'm a Freelance Photographer for a nationwide marketing company, The Main Hub, and love the connection using photography gives to helping local companies gain spotlight on their businesses.

Rounding out our 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise, we stopped in Barbados. Beautiful Island, Gorgeous Sands and water. We chose to hang out the beach and be lazy...so only one photo. :}

Our last day was at sea, so I thought I'd share a few photos of our ship the Celebrity Summit and the last sunset of the trip, plus a couple of an amazing sunrise which started our trip from the airplane.

Day 5 of our Southern Caribbean cruise. We stopped in port in Grenada, another place neither of us had been. Grenada is English owned, however they operate under their own Parliament. It is known as the island of *Spices* and I was set out to find some unique spices at great prices. They did not disappoint. I was able to bag some great deals on Curry and Ginger, native to their island.

When we first stepped off ship we thought we were just going to grab a taxi to take us straight to the Spice Mall, however, once we set out on the road it became apparent this island was amazingly beautiful and we wanted to see more. It was interesting when our driver pointed out the prison on island. It houses only approximately 300 people and is not maximum security. He also told us the island has a very low crime rate, most of the inmates were there for drunkenly disorder, fighting, etc. The prison had THE best view of the water which was very amusing. Grenada, just like St. Croix has their own Rum Distillery, Clark Court Rum, one of the largest distilleries in the islands. The beaches were white sand with amazingly blue and clear water. We definitely know on our next trip where we want to go.

Another interesting facility on Grenada is St. George's University which is American owned. Set on one of the corner ends of the islands the ocean sweeping views for this institution would make it difficult to want to go to school, I'd be daydreaming...haha! This school is renowned for its specialty in Veterinary medicine.

Funny incident that happened as we were being driven back to the cruise ship...Parked on the side of the road was a vehicle asking to enter the street and our taxi driver motioned for him to do so. He proceeded to drive BACKWARDS in front of us very skillfully until he reached his destination and exited the road. First time for that!

Day three on our amazing Southern Caribbean cruise on the beautiful Celebrity Summit, we were in Port in Dominica. We walked through their tent shopping and then explored a little through the streets. Another little Island that has not been over ran with commercial stores/restaurants because of it being a cruise port.

We found this awesome Spice shop and connected was a little Pub where they had live music. So much fun sitting and sipping a Rum Punch and watching everyone dance.

Our second day of cruising we stopped in one of our favorite places...St. Maarten. Again, there was some visible damage from Hurricane Irma...snapped Palm Tree's and boarded up windows, like Puerto Rico and St. Croix, for the most part everything felt normal.

One of the reasons we love this port is the convenience of the shopping right on the beach and when you're finished you can grab something to eat, a bottle of wine or bucket of beer and head to the water.

While we were relaxing in the sun, we witnessed a sweet moment with a family on the beach. A family with a mentally challenged boy wanted him to enjoy the water. Apparently he was frightened to go near it and with the patience of his family he walked to the edge.
