Day 3 we pulled into Freeport, Maine. Our first visit was to Winslow Park where we got our 1st look at some Maine coastline and some seabirds. Next I wound up at of all places, Florida Lake 🤣 where I had a great time watching the tree swallows bring dragonflies back to their chicks in the bird boxes. I got a bonus visit from a nice Baltimore Oriole to boot. Names below each.

Taking a little summer road trip. Of course I’m taking time to check out some birds. First stop was a quick one at Dutch Gap Conservation Area outside of Richmond, Virginia. Nice little spot..the highlight was a quite cooperative Prothonotary Warbler..a new bird for me! I’ll keep sending updates as I make it through the journey!!! Names below each.

While the main purpose of my trip to Andros was fishing, I was able to do a fair amount of birding. I managed to photograph 12 new species for my list. Maybe not all great photos, but evidence of the abundant amount of wildlife on the island nonetheless. Here are those 12 birds..names below each.

I was fortunate enough to spend the last four days with my dad, flyfishing for bonefish on North Andros. What a beautiful place with beautiful scenery, beautiful fish, beautiful people and of course lots of beautiful birds. Always grateful for father/son time doing what we’ve been doing for a really long time. Lots more pics to come!!
