About a year ago this mama took a chance and hired me to do photography and videography for her brand new tennis apparel line, Playful Pleats. (Amazing skirts, check them out!). Tabitha is such a fun, passionate and hardworking woman. It's been really inspiring to watch her build this business. After several shoots together and after meeting her two little ones, I knew this family needed to be in my family films portfolio!

They spent the evening at the beach doing just what they do. It was easy, simple, and fun. Nothing special. Yet, soooo special. Because in the blink of an eye they'll be discussing SAT scores and scheduling senior portraits. (Ask me how I know. No don't. We're not okay.)

Family film for The Schilds.

As a slightly more veteran mom I'm fast forwarding time in my head to imagine what they might point out when they watch this 10 years from now. I have thoughts on that. These days are hard ones, but the moments are so precious and the memories are endless. Capture it all!

When my kids were wee little things we would walk everywhere hand in hand. They didn't fight me. They just knew... This is what we do. It made me feel so special that my favorite people in the world wanted to hold my hand. I wish I had some of those precious moments on video.

That's why I'm now shifting my energy into filmmaking. I would love for other moms to have these moments captured in a beautiful way.

Atlantic Coast Diving at AAU Blue South Qualifier

Learning new tricks in Photoshop! I've been wanting to make a dive progression image for awhile... Finally took the right set of images and made time to put them together. So fun to see the result!

Lily's mom reached out to me before this big cheer comp. I sent her a cheat sheet with tips and ideas to capture on video. She did a great job capturing a lot of variety! I did the editing for her to make sure this special weekend gets the attention it deserves.
