Today we honor Juneteenth — a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.

June 19, 1865, marked the day when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

We reflect on the strength of our ancestors, celebrate the progress made, and acknowledge the work that still lies ahead. Let this day be one of remembrance, education, and unity.

Freedom is worth celebrating. History is worth honoring. Progress is worth continuing.
