Was it me?
Did I love you first?
Do I love you for me—
or do I love you for you?
Do I love you for your perfections,
or for your flaws?
Or was it you?
Did you love me first?
Do you love me for who I might become,
or for who I am right now?
Do you love from abundance,
or from lack?
And yet…
If we search long enough,
past every question
and every motive,
we find the truth:
Neither you
nor I
loved first.
Love began before us.
We love
because He loved us first.

Not only is it the month of my 1 year anniversary, God also saw it fit to add 1 year to my life.

Yo, do me a favor and ask God, “why He keeping a hard headed 🥷🏾 like Jefe?”

Literally pulled me from the dirt and dust me off, He’s an archeologist?

Hmmm, it all makes sense why He asked “….can these bones live?” Yall worried about the skeletons in the closet, does anyone know what to do with them? God did! He attached tendons to my bones and made flesh come upon me and covered me with skin… then He breathed in me. I got new life! 🙌🏿

Exactly 1 year ago, we didn’t just get engaged, we stepped into a lifetime in one moment. This first year hasn’t been easy, but it’s been beautiful because it’s been with you. They say marriage exposes and challenges you.. it’s done just that. So much has changed in the last few years for both of us, through it all we’re officially 1 year in. Thank you for your patience, your strength, your love, and your commitment when things get hard. I’m grateful every day that I get to walk this life with you. Happy one year to my wife, my partner, my soulmate.

I’ll be real — I have a tendency to think my culture has all the answers. Maybe not y’all, but I do.

But lately, the more I learn about other cultures, the more I see the beauty they carry — the wisdom, the rhythm, the perspective.

It’s humbling to realize that God didn’t design any one culture to have it all. We need each other to see the full picture.

Here is the true beauty… When we combine every culture — their strengths, their perspectives, their creativity — and submit them all to Jesus Christ…
that’s not just diversity.

That’s Kingdom Culture.

Many times, we prioritize satisfying our wife instead of leading her toward wholeness. But when we shift our focus from simply keeping her happy to lovingly walking with her through healing and growth, we not only help her become who God created her to be—we also discover a deeper, lasting satisfaction in the marriage.

It means being a safe space for her wounds, a truth-teller in grace, and a partner in her becoming. When that becomes the first priority, not only does she flourish, but the entire marriage becomes more fulfilling.

Love given is a gift —
But love returned creates a bond.

Earning vs. Expressing
