I got the opportunity to be a part of a showcase with my fine art photography class. We spent the semester taking images of the prompt “traversing terrain” this is what I came up with.

Man and nature seem to be battling to take claim of the land. There’s almost a beauty that can be found in seeing these places where nature seems to be taking back what man has tried to claim.

Modern city life: Provo, UT
In the last couple of years people have not been going out into their communities as much. This is causing a disconnect that many people are feeling. This work showcases a look into one such city; Provo, Utah. In it there’s a sense of sadness to see a city so empty and devoid of life. It’s almost apocalyptic to see a once lively city without the bustling human activity.
